CLENCHED TOO TIGHT?
|
|
Sadly, Paris’ reputation for libertine attitudes took a blow yesterday when
its giant green butt plug was destroyed.
The butt plug was a “24-foot inflatable piece was created by artist Paul
McCarthy and installed in the Place Vendôme in Paris, an area popular for its
18th century architecture”, writes Inquisitr. McCarthy, a contemporary artist
from Los Angeles, claimed that the giant inflatable butt plug was actually a
Christmas tree, however, few believed that and many Parisians objected to its
location in the Place Vendôme. McCarthy has created other controversial pieces
in the past including a Christmas elf holding a tree shaped like a butt plug. Yesterday,
Vandals apparently took down the ropes supporting the butt plug and deflated it
during a momentary absence of the security guard. McCarthy has decided to find
a new a new place for the piece.
In the end, I liked the piece. If the Parisians don’t
know where to stick it, maybe they should try my butt.
