You think girls / women aren't conscious of being on display? See 'on display' series here and think again. A quote from a 25 year old woman on a national newspaper discussion thread on why young women are dressing so sexily:
'To be noticed of course. I don't necessarily wear skimpy things (except for tank tops) but I do wear things that accentuate my best features. It's a nice little inexpensive ego boost to have a guy notice you. Heck, it even makes me feel good when I get whistled at when I'm in my running shorts and tank top and sweating like a pig. Guys....who can figure 'em?'

Of course - why do women pose for magazines... why are celebs getting naked in movies, why do they pose in front of paparazzi? Every woman likes to get noticed by guys when they are wearing sexy clothes. And I have to admit that even I take it as a compliment if men are looking at my girlfriend. It`s not only good for her ego, but for mine, too...
