Pube shaving

Hey all,
I'm just curious as to when and why pubic hair shaving started. It's something I just can't get into. Actually, since I'm gay, I think it makes a guy's dick look strange. If the guy is totally hot in my opinion and he drops his pants to reveal shaved pubes, I loose my hardon instantly.
I have blown a guy that was shaved and couldn't hang with the stubble. And to me, it doesn't make the guy look any bigger.
But since it's everywhere I guess mostly everyone likes it. Guess I'm in the minority. I shaved once and couldn't hang with it. Guess cause I'm so hairy down there. Maybe that's my problem. But would like to hear comments from both sexs.

I've never really been into shaved either. Although i do prefer it if someones trimmed.

The look started centuries ago when diseases would cause all hair to fall out. They even had pubic hair wigs called merkins. prostitutes probably shaved to deal with pubic lice. Didn't become really common until small bathing suits were worn.

I don't know how it started but aside from the obvious bikini/speedo line thing, many find it more confertable to be shaved.
Personaly I prefere a bit of hair on guys and girls.
My BF is hairy beast, he doesn't even trim, sometimes I wonder if his muff will come alive and do some kind of tenticle rape or something!
But seriously, his hair has never bothered me but I've never been down on a shaven guy.
When me & my gf were together I always tried to get her to let it grow. A shaved pussy is nice but I think i always prefere a bit of fur.
