To me, the News of the World's heyday (and by extension The Sun's) was the early to mid 90's when their hunger for scandalous headlines and government sleaze coincided with my puberty and fed my developing sexual fantasies.

The story I remember best, and one that I'd like to get hold of a copy of, was headlined "Page 3 Helen let me tie her to the bed," a tale apparently given by Page 3 model Kirsten Imrie documenting an encounter with fellow model and housemate Helen Labden.  The story went from how the two girls had taken part in a game where they hid packages of cocaine in their underwear to be discovered by male patrons of the club who groped for them.  From there they returned home with a guy Kirsten knew and Helen had stripped to "a miniscule G-string" while dancing to a Madonna song before retiring to bed, where Kirsten and the guy followed, tying her to the bed with a scarf.  According to Kirsten "the knots weren't very tight and she could have escaped anytime she wanted to but she didn't even struggle.  She was laughing a lot because I kept tickling her."  Helen shortly passed out and Kirsten had sex with the guy on the bed next to her unconscious bound body.

It always struck me that if Helen could have escaped at any time then why did she endure being tickled to the point of passing out and I concluded that the knots must have been holding her very tightly indeed, which made the story even hotter to me.

Other stories that piqued my interest at the time, although I can't remember the details clearly now, were tales of strippers at a Tory party, including one got not working but still ended up having her dress ripped off her, and a woman who left her husband to be a full-time sex slave to a bondage cult she'd joined.  Then there were a couple of Agony Aunt sections, one about a woman whose husband wanted her to appear "accidentally-on-purpose" in her underwear while his mates were in the house, and one who complained that her boyfriend was always lifting her skirts and showing off her bum when she met him, to which she was asked why if that was the case, she insisted on continuing to wear short skirts and thongs?  Both sound like ideal behaviour for the perfect fantasy wife.
