My first husband was 15 years older than me. On our wedding night, in 1975, he asked me to sign an oath of devotion, which I did. After that he had me recite it for him every morning and every night, all the years we were married. I kept a copy all these years. Here it is:
I pledge to you, my beloved husband, my total, continual, and eternal devotion. This means total obedience and subservience to you and to your every need, want, and whim, and without any thought of myself. You own me totally, now and forever. I will follow your every instruction without hesitation and will gladly do everything in my power to feed your every hunger, including your natural hunger for other women.
My body is your toy to play with, use, share with friends, or even abuse or break as suits your pleasure. Everything you go do me glorifies God.
My mind is yours and is devoted to a constant effort to anticipate your wants and to search for more and better ways to please and pleasure you. I pray for imagination and creativity to keep your pleasure always fresh and new.
My soul is yours to ruin. Let it be the vessel into which you discard all that is dark or unpleasant in your own soul. I hereby damn my own soul to eternal suffering and shame so that yours may be saved and live on in paradise for ever.
All of this is the manifest will of God who created us for it and I thank and praise him forever for choosing me to be for you.
