If you've marked any of my galleries as favorites, hopefully, you will have noticed that some of them are gone. Simply put, I got fed up with people taking captioned pics I posted here and reposting them on tumblr as if they were their own creations. So everything that I haven't already posted on tumblr is gone. I may add them back here as I post them on tumblr, or not. I don't know, I haven't really decided. All I can say is that since most of the captions I see are unimaginative and not even in correct English, I really like mine and if we are going to track sources (like tumblr does) then I should get the credit. I used the same user name here and on tumblr so it would be easy for people to make the connection. At this point, I'm entertaining the idea of imbedding my username in the captioned portion. I guess what put me over the edge was the tendency for the people doing this to NOT have any messaging turned on so they couldn't even be confronted about it and asked to acknowledge where the caption came from.

I know we all use photos that are not our's but I try to leave information about that intact, AND no one assumes that we are the source of the pictures - but the added caption is another thing.

Anyway, I do appreciate that people like them, and I understand that some just thought they were being supportive by giving the captioned picture a wider audience. Perhaps I will be able to see it that way again, perhaps I would have if so many hadn't done it in a way that made it impossible to talk to them about it.

So now you know what happened to some of the pictures.
