I try to remind myself that this is both cautionary and advisory!  (I've been on this road for 50 years)  Most of these steps are true, some are informed conjecture...

Step 1  I become aware of my penis.

Step 2  I discover masturbation.

Step 3  I learn the rules of self pleasure: sanctions, evil, banned.

Step 4  I continue anyway.

Step 5  I experience the thrill of public exposure.

Step 6  Caution and stimulation - a habit is formed.

Step 7  Risk / Reward.  Bolder and more frequent exposure.  I embrace exhibionist aberrant behavior.

Step 8  Pleasure overcomes common sense.  Habit becomes addiction.

Step 9  Porn rules!  Exhibitionism on the web - I expose myself to a world-wide audience.

Step 10 I push the limits in search of pleasure - loss of caution - addiction consumes me.

Step 11 Caught in the act - my penis betrays me.

Step 12 Condemnation, incarceration, humiliation.
