I am truly shocked at the way that some people have managed to turn what is a pornography site with user-added content into place that is heavily censored. My heart goes out to people who have been abused such as prom_lover (http://www.imagefap.com/profile/promlover), and I absolutely stand against rape, sexual abuse, molestation and violence in all of its forms. But what comes next, people? Victims of violence are worthy of our sympathy too. Should all movie studios immediately stop showing any scenes with hand to hand combat, gun fighting, or any fighting of any kind? For many people, even completely consensual sex scenes are a trigger for remembering their bad experiences. Let's get rid of not only all pornography but also anything in any media that resembles sex! Imagefap should just be a place for us to watch Teletubbies. Except maybe someone was molested while watching Teletubbies and it is a trigger for them.

We here mostly live in democratic societies like the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and so forth. In such societies, there's a social contract that we all enter: Mind your own business and I'll keep my nose out of yours. If someone else's idea of fun is different from mine, so be it. I don't care for watching baseball, but I'll fight to the death to protect someone else's right to do so. It is YOUR obligation to be a conscious consumer and to protect yourself from things that might harm you. No one else can do so.

What's so bad about this? Let's analyze all of it.

Images of child birth, breastfeeding, pregnant women, etc. are erotic to some people. There are plenty of sites to watch ANY kind of porn. By the reasoning of these new standards, ALL porn should be removed from this site!

As for zoophilia: Too bad that it's not a crime in 13 American states, and merely a misdemeanor in 20. Some of these states have seen constitutional challenges. And by that reasoning, ANY pornography arguably violates obscenity statutes the world over! Imagefap has no duty to proactively aid law enforcement by banning entire categories of content. If a specific image was made illegally, then it can be removed.

And the real kicker, rape fantasy pictures. I am shocked and disgusted that this is a limitation on a pornography site that I should note again has NO standards against slave pictures, seduction, extreme BDSM, etc. There's an all purpose "torture" descriptor above, but that does not cover many kinds of erotic BDSM torture (or does it? These descriptions are vague and entirely up to administrator fiat). What harm is done to real human beings by the dissemination of these pictures? Some people will be made uncomfortable. But that's true of every piece of pornography EVER PRODUCED. Again, by this reasoning, we should remove this entire site, and indeed every piece of entertainment that would garner anything above a G rating (and even many G rated films and pieces of intellectual content). If two consenting adults have a rape play session and post pictures of it on Imagefap, that is EXACTLY what this site was created to do. For God's sakes, this restriction even applies TO CARTOONS! 

If someone suspects that any image that was taken is of any kind of non-consensual action, from zoophilia and bestiality to simulated rape and ravishment to BDSM (which I may remind you is completely acceptable under these guidelines, even though BDSM routinely features the humiliation and debasement of women far more graphically than a captioned image), they should contact Imagefap admins and the authorities. But as long as it is clear that these images were made by consenting adults, IT IS NO ONE'S BUSINESS. 

There's another issue to discuss. Prom_lover's campaign is insulting and denigrating to women and men alike. It implies that women, even victims of sexual abuse, cannot have the maturity to manage their own consumption and have to be protected by site administrators. I have known and indeed dated numerous victims of rape, sexual abuse and molestation. To the last one, they all had a rape fantasy. Prom_lover may find images and videos of rape done by consenting actresses, or captioned images made by and disseminated to consenting adults, to be uncomfortable FOR HER, but she is actually making it harder for OTHER VICTIMS to process what happened to them and find a healthy way to manage it. It's also deeply culturally insensitive. In Japan and many other cultures, rape fantasies are a deep part of their pornography. What's really tragic is that she spent all of this time unwittingly standing in the way of the preferences and needs of other victims of rape and sexual abuse instead of spending any time doing anything that really would improve their condition, like protesting for improved mental health screening that might find victims too ashamed to speak, or improving sensitivity training amongst police officers for abuse and rape cases.

Rape and ravishment fantasies are completely legitimate, and may even be more mainstream than BDSM fantasies. Research has put people having some kind of ravishment-themed fantasy at being anywhere from 10 to 30% of the population. Dime store novels with ravishment themes are innumerable, far beyond easy counting.
