A few recent incidences have induced me to express some  opinion on this very emotive subject. My intention is to try and offer some sort of REASONABLE perspective that might be useful to the reader - both male and female.

The most recent incident occured a week ago when one of the girls I regularly date visited me. She no longer works as a prostitute, having found other casual jobs. She is a mother of 4 children (by 4 different fathers!), and wanted advice from me. She was very worried about her 14 year old son. She lives in a poor area, and has only a very small dwelling. A day or two prior to her visit, she had unexpectedly entered her son's bedroom in the morning, and saw him masturbating while holding a cell phone. Considering her background, her reaction astouded me. She promptly reprimanded the lad most severely, and ordered him to go to the local government clinic for councilling. She asked me if she had done the correct thing. Naturally I had to tyell her that what she saw was perefectly normal and does not need any scolding. I was myself masturbating at age four, and getting thrashed for it! Reluctantly, the mother considered my opinion, and was relieved that there was evidently nothing wrong with her son!

The point I want to raise for my readers (no pun intended!), is her exagerated reaction, and the fuss she was making which was completely uncalled for, and inappropriate, and likely to give the poor lad a complex. 

The other fairly recent incident is even more perplexing. I made the acqaintance of a clinical psychoptherapist who was involved in councilling children referred by child welfare societies. There was a 12 year old girl who had been sent to her who had been abused by a step father. The step father had been arrested, and the child had been sent to a "place of safety" - a sort of orphanage where new homes are sought for displaced children. The child had been removed from her real parents due to sexual molestation.The therapist informed me that the real situation was not at all the way it was initially presented. During the girl's therapy with my acqaintance, it transpired that the girl had actually seduced the step father, and not the other way round. She had learned the art, and had even shared this with other members of the "safety home". The step father was thus wrongfully charged and arrested.I don't know how this ended, but the therapist told me that the "home of safety" was the very last place she would ever allow her own child to go to, because all the children there were continually seducing each other and created a tremendous strain on the attendant staff.

This raises a highly sensitive issue. Was the step father really guilty of a crime or not? There are various aspects to this:-

1) Whether we are comfortable with it or not, children DO enjoy sex. And if they find a willing adult, they are quite capable of initiating sex play. It may be quite wrong for the adult to participate, but what I find problematic is the FUSS that is made when it happens.. I know from my own experiences. When children are caught playing together, they should not be scolded and declared immoral or sick. A big fuss will give them an inferiority complex, without justification.

2) People with paedophiliac tendencies are divided into two groups, and I will give a reference for this later on.

a) Those who have romantic aspirations for children

b) Those who desire dominance  and will molest a child solely for their own pleasure against the will of the child.

According to clinical therapists, the latter group are very much in the minority, while allegedly one out of 100 men have romantic and erotic feelings for very young girls.  Men in group (a) have no desire to harm the subjects of their love any more than an ordinary straight person has. I believe that the accusation of molestationa and abuse that is so typically levelled against these people is totally unjustified and inappropriate!!

Unfortunately, those with evil intentions make movies to distribute over the Internet. According to" wikileaks", the vast majority of records of abuse are surprisingly made by fathers with their own children! They are therefor acts of forced incest. I label this wrong because it infringes on the right of everyone to have a free will and choose what they do with their own bodies. I myself indulged in sex play as a child, and loved every moment of it, but I certainly didn't want any adults involved in it. If this had been forced upon me against my will, THEN the act would have been one of abuse. But I was abused by adults in other ways. I was once given a thrashing with a stick when my mother overheard me use the word "fuck". And I was frequently whipped in school for behaviour which I cannot even remember.

So what about the paedophiles who have no malicious intention over the children. Let it be understood that these peolple cannot change the nature of their sexual preferences, any more than a gay adult can. And their preferences can never be changed by any kind of therapy or punishment.  But just because a man or woman prefers to consort with only their own sex, does not make them social outcasts or rapists. Likewise, I don't think that every person who is erotically attracted to children should be ostracized and even criminalized as a potential rapist!

What is a realistic age of consent? One must consider what the child would think of the act a few years later. If the older child would be ashamed of the past behaviour, then the child is not old enough to make a wise decision, and the matter should rest there. But how rediculous it is when a child has been caught playing in the bath with an uncle - both enjoying themselves - and the whole house becomes an uproar. A doctor is called for the child, a police escort is called for the Uncle, and so on and so on. NOW what a lot of damage. The fun  seekers are suddenly now VICTIMS. Now look at what damage is being done: the abuse consits of the rediculous reactions of the surrounding people. Please recall that in the U.K. up till about the time I was born, 1950, sodomy (anal sex) was a criminal offense, punishable by imprisonment. Many a poor man caught out resorted to suicide to avert criminalization. And for what!? Going back another 30 years to about 1930, we find that a woman found guilty of adultery was deemed mentally deranged and would be commited to an asylum! And what now?

I recently saw a utube video showing the full story of how a rich American was sentenced to 40 years imprisonment for soliciting a group of willing Tai girls for a generous fee. Where, may I ask, isrthe ABUSE, where the MOLESTATION that the man was accused of? The young girls were perfectly willing and able. The American business man's life was probably ruined. And why go to all the trouble to make a video of this? And the ending suggests that the sentence of 40 years was too light!!! He had helped generously to feed and cloth people in financial lack, and what did he get for it? And what of the social stigma suddenly heaped on the characters of the poor girls involved?

The collective public morality is not logical or rational. Check wikileaks. May I inform my very patient reader of another curiosity regarding public morality. Up until 18 year ago, here inthe Republic of South Africa, it was a criminal offence for any white man or woman to engage in any kind of physical intimacy. This was known as the Immmorality Act. I was involved in making some serious art films on this subject during the 1980s, and they were smuggled out of the coutry. But in the art festivals overseas, no one could understand them. If a white and a black person were caught together and it was SUSPECTED that they had had sex, the female would would be taken to a prison hospital and put into stirrups. A sample would be extracted from between her legs, and tested. If semen was found, the two would be charged with contravening the Immorality Act, and they would be imprisoned. But it certainly isn't like that now, thank God.

The public outcry against child erotica is suspicious. Referring to the psychological principles of Dr Carl Jung, it might seem that there is some kind of projection going on here.  Can it be that people harbour a dark, unconscious, and unbearable desire for child sex that is projected onto the "monster child abuser". The "monster" becomes the archetypal "scape goat". This is a very uncomfortable possibility.

 So what is my final point? May I offer a challenge. Over the past decades there have been thousands of girls and boys who were employed in child model studios to create pictures which ranged from the discreet, to legs apart erotica, to the outright lewd. The literature says that these models and actors were NEVER abused (by commerecial producers), and that they enjoyed doing the work. Are there any adults who can tell us of their experiences in these studios  and either agree to or refute my view?  Did any of them suffer the terrible mental sicknesses that are alleged to have been the inevitable fate of such indulgences? The challenge goes to those who participated, and are willing to be honest about their experiences of this industry.

My points are:-

1)I a m not a paedophile, as my galleries clearly demonstrate, but I do sympathize with those who have different tastes to me, such as gays, sado masachists, scatt lovers, and so on - including, of course, the hapless lover of children - who is only after a little fun, just like all the rest of us, but is acccused of crimes that he does not commit, or even intends to. It all boils down to "personal ethics".

2) I find the Utube movie I mentionedabove particularly outrageous. I hope the poor man has been released by now, just like all those who contravined the Immorality act here in South Africa. It must be remembered in this latter situation, that the ancestors of those who promulgated the Immorality Act had themselves  created hundreds of thousand of mulattos through their inter racial copulations. Again this demonstrates that the world is not run by rational content.
