unsolicitated emails

OK, here is another one. Today I got an email on my private account from somebody I dont know, who stated they say my profile here. However, I have tried to look up his rofile, I couldn't find it! Do others consider it rude to contact someone without identifying themselves or giving information so you can see thier profile? Well, I've writen him back, now we'll see what happens.

It's funny how things go, sometimes... it sounds rude to me. But over on another website I've almost always ignored private chat from people with no profile info & no pix. Except once someone slipped thru the net and we've now been friends for over 5 years and we regularly chat... so you never know, eh.
