Have we gone back to the fifties(sixties?) with regard to what we see, or more to the point, what we don't see on tv? It seems a whole lot
worse from where I live. CRTC, in Canada, seems to have over the last few years aped American style control over content. The ratings are a
joke, and lies and half truths are told to us, via warnings, about what we are expected to see! There also is the "may contain" bullshit.
This seems to have started in the early 90s, by my account. This is what I see as the `nanny state', and it doesn't seem to be controlled by any
`real' men, only thralls of feminists. These are not the `women's libbers' and those of my generation(for the most part). We are liberated, from
such extreme views of control over others, to my experience. Yes, we do not want to take steps backward.
There is also the flood of `women cnetred' shows and channels. I don't believe this is a coincidence. No one seems to stand up to them, and
DEMAND to be treated like educated, proud adults. The newer ratings dumb everything down to a level I liken to an an 11 year old, with regard
to language warned about (and partial nudity) removed. We deserve better!
