So by now you should be well versed in the GOLDEN RULES from my first blog. If you aren't then go back and read them and read them again until you know them off by heart.
This tutorial is NOT going to tell you HOW to fake, but will give you an insight into some of the tools I use when faking. Again I'm presuming you are using some version of PS. If you want further information on some of the tools mentioned there are literally Gazillions of tutorials to help you into making fakes look not faked.
I use a PC and will put the PC shortcuts here CTRL on a MAC is usually the COMMAND key so if you ssee CTRL usually the the COMMAND is the key to press on the MAC. again there are tonnes of short cut lists available by searching for Photoshop shortcuts these are handy to know as they can speed up your work rate no end.
TOOL ONE - THE LASSO TOOL
For these tutorials I'm going to go through some of the basic tools to get you on your way. we are going to to use an image of Megan Fox as our image to be faked.
The lasso tool is your first tool to use and is probably the most basic. simply draw round the available skin of the face you want to fake. I tend to go slightly over the hair line to give you something to play with while you are faking as sometimes it helps to have a BLEEDED edge. COPY (CTRL+C)the selected area and then PASTE (CTRL+V) onto your porn image.
A BLEEDED edge is what i describe as the soft edge that bleeds images together and is done by reducing the brush opacity but more on that later.
So you have your image BUT WAIT the image is the wrong way round.
Not a problem all you need to do is
1: EDIT>
2: TRANSFORM>
3: FLIP HORIZONTAL
Et Voila you're image will be flipped.
DON'T EVER flip the image you are faking for the simple reason is you have changed the person you are faking yes its them buts its them how THEY see themslevs and not how the world sees them.
TOOL TWO - TRANSFORM TOOL SCALING AND ROTATING
So you've Pasted your image. and you should see something like this. The surrounding box is the TRANSFORM BOX and here you can SCALE AND ROTATE the image to fit. Here the image is slightly smaller which I KNOW goes against my ethos of NOT upscaling but the images are comparable in quality enough fo it not to matter to much. To fit the face on the image neatlyyou need to have an idea of what you are doing with regards to the image underneath.
GOLDEN RULE WARNING
I see a lot of this in other peoples fakes and for something so simple it lets the fake down right off the bat and that is PROPORTIONS.
If you want to get decent proportions use the SIZE OF THE EYES AS A GUIDE.
I go by the eyes simply because these are a universal average on everybodies face and therefore will give you a pretty good closeness in proportion.
To do this you need to place your head and reduce the opacity.
To rescale your image select a box in the corner with the direction you want to scale pressing hold down the mouse button (usually left) and holding SHIFT as you resize you will maintain the ratios i.e height and width will keep their relative proportions.
If you need the TRANSFORM BOX again hit (CTRL+T)
REDUCING THE OPACITY
SELECT THE LAYER YOU WANT TO REDUCE (IT WILL HIGHLIGHT BLUE) ABOVE YOU WILL SEE A OPACITY SLIDER. AFTER CLICKING THE DROPDOWN ARROW ON THE RIGHT. MESS AROUND WITH THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE AN OPACITY YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH.
Now that you have the image scaled to the proper proportions its time to rotate the image.
AGAIN to use this properly and for the purposes of this tutorial i couldn't get the mouse icon to appear in the PRTSRCN so you'll have to search this more thoroughly. BUT one important feature is the CROSSHAIR in the centre of the TRANSFORM BOX. This can be moved around and allows you to rotate the image. You'll have to try this out to get a real understanding of how it works but really usefull if you want to get the image just right.
Now you're good to go.......from here on in it is going to get a lot more technical and open your eyes to how powerful Photoshop really is as an image editing tool.
