Preparing for a photoshoot
When beginning assembling a shoot, photographer and models
need to run down the ideas which they would like to use. Agree on a look or
style and build towards it, whether it’s a straight up nude pose or highly
involved fetish session, remember the 5 P’s – Proper Preparation Prevents Pisspoor
Performance.
Gather the props/toys/costumes together long before you
shoot. You may get new ideas seeing them all together, talk about them and work
out which ideas will be used. Don’t worry if a few ideas aren’t used, you can
always do another shoot.
Experiment before the shoot. Do not attempt something new
during the shoot, it will just complicate everything and spoil the shoot. This
includes make up and poses, look at how the professionals do it and imitate
them. Remember you want to keep relaxed atmosphere during the shoot.
Speaking of which, models need to be very relaxed and rested
before the shoot. A good night’s sleep and a happy feeling will make the shoot
very easy.
If you are shooting outdoors, check out the location fully
before settling on it. Make sure you know how busy it is and what the weather
will be. Make sure you are prepared for whatever the weather may be.
Bring water and small snacks to keep you going during the
shoot. Playing music may help with the mood and should be kept in mind if
things aren’t coming together.
Have fun shooting
