Nike Lunar Flow | Summer 2011
|
|
The Nike Lunar Flow is one of the best examples of Nike updating a silhouette and absolutely hitting it out of the park. The original Air Flow featured a fantastic look as well as innovative materials, but the Lunar Flow may just exceed its predecessor in both those areas, using a Fuse composite upper to increase ventilation and lighten weight and placing it atop a maximally cushioned Lunarlon sole unit. And hitting stores this Supra shoes
summer, these limited editions of the Lunar Flow all feature simple monochromatic uppers—red, black or flat silver—atop white sole units, a simple, clean look for summer. Hit the jump for detailed looks at each, and stick with NikeBlog for more information about a US release date (they’re already hitting stores in Asia). The 2011 NBA season is barely in the books, and the reworked “Advance” version of Carmelo Anthony’s M7 is still fresh in our minds, but Melo’s next signature shoe, the Jordan Melo M8 (release date: fall 2011) is already popping up. The shoe continues to evolve in terms of both tech and looks, donning Flywire through the upper, a visible Max Air unit in the heel and visible Zoom Air in the forefoot, locked down with TPU caging. Hit the Supra High Tops
jump for plenty more looks and, as always, stick with NikeBlog for more information on the Melo M8 throughout the year.Portland residents who get down on the sports of Nike 6.0, get stoked for Thursday. That’s when the Supra Skytop
Nike West Coast Mobile Tour hits town, posting up at the US Outdoor Store on SW Broadway and Ankeny from 4pm until 9pm. Included at the event will be a barbecue, athlete signings and free giveaways, so make it happen. (The poster is obviously mis-dated, but I’m fairly certain it’s Thursday.) Today brings us one more colorway of the superlative Griffey Hybrid that mixes the classic Air Griffey Max 1 aesthetic with more modern technology such as a Torch mesh upper and 360 Max Air unit. No word on an official US drop, but look for the Nike Air Max Jr Black/White-True Blue release date in the coming weeks, and stick with NB for any and all updates as they become available. The 2010 Liberty x Nike Sportswear collaboration is now well underway, but it would seem that there will be a few more colorways of the Liberty x Nike Air Force 1 than previously anticipated. Below the cut, check out several shots of Supra Skytop II
two new Air Force 1′s featuring unique Liberty of London floral prints. No official word on the release date for these two pairs, but expect them at Liberty (and maybe on nikestore.com) in the coming weeks.our way-too-early looks at next year’s Nike SB line, here’s the first preview of the Nike SB Dunk Low Midnight Navy/Black, releasing in early 2012. The shoe features a dope mix of blue suede on the overlays, black leather inlays and supra skytop red
enough white on the midsole, as well as gold stitching, to create a contrasting effect. Stick with NB for updates as well as more looks at the SB line from next year.
