Nike 6.0 has collected a pretty remarkable group of talent in terms of surfers, so the logical next step (apparently) is to create a pretty impressive commercial, on a rather
grand scale. The made-for-web spot will feature elite surf talent like air max
Kolohe Andino, Monyca Byrne-Wickey, Julian Wilson and Laura Enever, to name a few. Not a ton of information is available about the new campaign yet, but it seems that
it will center around night-surfing. Great preview of the spot below the cut.
Wondering what it takes to be Nigel Sylvester, one of the top BMXers out there? Give this video a whirl, featuring some one-on-one with Nigel and looks at him honing his
craft.
Nike has quite the undertaking ahead of them, converting the UK’s old public pool at the Dagenham Leisure Centre into a new BMX facility, led by designer Dave Sowerby.
The pool will be the host of a global BMX competition in mid-May, and then will be open to the public (they’ll even have loaner bikes for those who don’t bring one) from
May 16 until June 12th. Anyway, just an utterly rad video above, documenting the goings on. In an entirely serious manner, I’m sure.
Carissa Moore is one of the ladies signed to Nike 6.0 starring in the new surf film Leave a Message, the LA premiere of which is in mid-April. Carissa is looking to sport a
new colorway of the Nike Braata shoe to the premiere, so Cheap Ken Griffey Jr Shoes Black Red White
Nike 6.0 is opening up a design competition to anyone who wants to give it a try. Once you design the Nike
Braata (do so by clicking here), hit the share button on the right side, add the design name and inspiration, tag it with “Carissa” and hit “add to gallery.” All designs have to be
in by April 15th.
All in all pretty dope shoe, albeit exactly like the Drifter 6.0. But hey, anytime a shoe adds glow-in-the-dark pieces and gimmicky clear outsoles it’s a definite improvement.
The Nike 6.0 Stinkween Braata release comes July 24th. You can pre-order now at Air Griffey
Max GD II
Jackssurfboards.com. Also, while researching this shoe I went to Madsteez’s website. It is absolutely the most irritating thing you will ever see on the internet. I highly
recommend not visiting it. Ever. His blog is fine though.
