I'm not big on writing, so this may be the only blog entry I ever write. I'm only writing this one to explain a bit about my About Me section on my main page because I've had some odd messages sent to me concerning it. Apparently, some people are under the impression that I'm a pedophile because of what I've said in my About Me section, and I'd like to respond to that idea...

I am a father of 2 girls, 1 12 y.o. and 1 13 y.o. and I know how adult they can make themselves look sometimes just before I send them back to their room to change and remove the makeup... I am often afraid that they're going to get into a sexual relationship with an adult man, and the fact is, he can't be blamed for it if they have made themselves up to look like they're adults. 

Society continues to call it rape if a 30 y.o. man has sex with a 16 y.o. girl, but I have to ask... When's the last time you carded your potential lover? Men tend to accept their age, for the most part... If we want to look older, we grow a beard and if we want to look younger, we shave it. Sometimes we dye our hair, but we don't normally go though the lengths that women will go through. Women are, generally speaking, obsessed with their age... Or rather, the age they'd like to be. They spend their teenage years desperately trying to look older and they're 30's and 40's desperately trying to look younger. They always want to look like they're in their 20's, and they are generally quite adept at doing so. The, of course, there are those like Mira Sorvino... She'll likely be 85 and still look 15! My fiancee is one of those, just not to that extreme. She's in her mid 20's and people still think she looks like a teenager, and that's just natural for her. 

If a man sells you a thoroughbred horse that he knows is dying, HE can be sued and even arrested for fraud. If a person sells you a house without disclosing that the basement leaks and there are termites and that the foundation is basicallly held together with kindergarten paste, that person can be sued and even arrested for fraud. If a 16 year old girl advertises herself as a 22 year old, gets into a club or a bar seduces or allows herself to be seduced by a 25 year old man, HE can be arrested for rape, sued, have his entire life and future ruined, and she can go back to high school with a stern lecture from her parents... Fraud is fraud, people... How... HOW is this anywhere close to right?

I am a man. I was not attracted to 65 year old women when I was a teenager, and I'm not attracted to them now... Despite what men say, and despite what people think of us, we do NOT stop being attracted to teenage girls just because we turned 18 or 21 or 25 or 65. When we choose older women to be with, it is not because we lack an attraction to a younger woman, it's because we are attracted by more than just the physical and youthful beauty. We are attracted by the wisdom, the intelligence, the experience, the desire to settle down, to commit... We are still attracted to them physically, yes... But there are so many wonderful things that older women can offer us that younger women/girls can't. Unfortunately, those are not qualities that we are likely to find on a pit on your shirt, or even by looking at your drivers liscense... Those are the things we have to get to know you for... And, unfortunately, there are those times that we do get suckered by those younger girls who've made themselves up to look like they're older... 

Just TRY to do what I'm TRYING to do... Teach your children to be responsible and teach them to take responsibility for their own actions... And make sure the law does the same thing!
