Thoughts about Vaginas and Testicles
|
|
We call someone a ‘pussy’ for being weak, even though the vagina contains incredibly strong muscles capable of pushing out human beings that weigh over three kilograms. When someone does something brave, we say they have ‘balls’, even though the testicles don’t seem to do much except hang around, produce sperm and get squeezed out the side of briefs as a gross party trick.

Maybe balls aren't quite the grandiose thing everyone seems to think they are? Have you ever been kicked in them? Seems like a liability to me.

I suppose the idea comes from the fact that balls produce testoterone, the masculine hormone that turns boys into men, at least physically. so the image of hardness and masculinity is associated with the balls.
Whereas the pussy is still a very soft femenine object that is associated with mild charachteristics despite its much more powerful muscle structure.
I suppose its more about masculine and femenine traits in a person rather than weakness per se

Balls, for sure can be in the way; a more practical location would be to have them, say, in your armpit.
I have never been kicked therein, but I once suffered a bulls-eye - or do I mean BALLS-eye? - hit from a hard smash in a game of tennis. It was not an experience I wish to have repeated ....
