The song and the lyrics are meaningful to me. It has the character of driving unstoppable affirming feminine triumph that, when I was a child made me feel DEEPLY emasculated. The knowledge that the singer was transexual disturbed me and this powerful song was her rallying call to me personally; that my masculinity was a feeble facade, and that I should just let go and fall in line. That there is ultimately no hiding that I am actually just like her, a diva.
