I finally broke down and joined Facebook.
Of course, to get all the gritty details, you'll have to join or
already be a member.

I strongly dislike their verification policy. They don't seem to remember that anything electronic can be hacked. I sent their Support/Feedback board a message that read:
"Imagine this scenario. Member finds unclaimed cell phone. Member has tech friend reinitialize the SIM card so it reads with his name instead of that of the person who 'lost' the phone. Member then uses same cell phone to verify his Facebook account and obtain a 'legitimate' username. By which means, the account is verified and a crime, ethical if not technically legal, is perpetrated with Facebook as one of the parties involved. Time to move to another strategy, folks."
I doubt they'll reply. How was I to know that Facebook is the eBay of community sites, so far as your ability to get in touch with them goes?!
