As long as I have been watching porn regularly I've been more into hairy pussies than shaven ones. There is no practical purpose for pussy hair that I'm aware of but when one looks woman a little further away, the pubic hair marks the spot, so to speak. It is, alongside tits, a kind of anchoring point for the gaze, a point of reference. When there is no pubic hair at all I find that the eyes concentrate to the upper body leaving the lover part somewhat vague or blurry. With both her point of references clearly visible the woman is more completely there to look. This holds truth, in my mind anyway, when there is enough distance that it is possible to see the whole woman at once. When one goes so close that it is impossible to see but one part, e.g. upper half or her, at once it is a different situation. Then you have a different set of anchoring points for your gaze and the purpose of looking is propably to concentrate to some particular details or mouth watering delicacies, or cock hardening..

I do not care so much about about other zooms than those going close to female or male genitalia. Close ups do have their place in series of several pictures when you can take a closer peek of tits for example and then switch back to the big picture but I do not usually watch single close up pictures of tits or other body parts. Cocks and especially pussies are different thing although most often I watch and like pictures that show the whole body or most of it. 

When it comes to pictures representing just genitalia pussy hair is trickier thing. If there too much of it you can't see much else - if pussy is not opened by something. So the pubic hair should be trimmed in a way that allows you see the labia and other parts well. With the shaven pussy there is no such problem obviously so there is some advantage with that. 

But. Not all shaved pussies do look that beautiful. Some women have really beautifully shaped inner and outer lips and the whole aesthetic composition is balanced or if there is some unbalance, say huge labia, the form of the whole is controlled as it is made by some talented sculptor. As in high art, beautiful pussies have their colour palettes in order too (and by colors I do not mean that some skin colors are more beautiful than others but I mean that the tones of particular pussy may be beautiful or not whether the person is white, black, asian or whatever - to this day I haven't seen any ethnic or other group of people who do not have beautiful skin color in general, I like variety). For those pussy-beauties shaving may be the best option. But not all pussies are that beautiful are may even look almost ugly when shaved. It's difficult for me to explicitly state what does make some pussies not so appealling but it has something to do with the proportions and general shape of the particular genitalia. So for those women, and there is actually quite many of them, it is better to have pubic hair to cover at least some part of their pussy. In some cases it may be possible to trim it in a way that hair covers some part of the pussy but leaves finer parts more visible.
