A Difficult Goodbye, Why I Cleared My Profile
|
|
It is frustrating when digital spaces we've invested time in suddenly feel unpredictable. Recently, I logged in to find that several of my photo albums had been removed entirely from my account.
What made it worse was the complete silence from the platform's administration—no warning, no explanation, and no notice of which rule was allegedly broken.
When your content can vanish without a trace or a reason, it shakes your trust in the platform. Out of frustration and a need to protect my own digital footprint, I decided to take matters into my own hands:
I deleted all of my remaining albums, my remaining photos, and even my favorites.
If a platform doesn't respect the time and effort creators put into curating their spaces, sometimes starting with a blank slate—or walking away—is the only option left.
