Liz Truss dominates a uniform dressed Mel Giedroyc

The grand oak doors of the study creaked shut behind Mel as she stepped inside, her fingers nervously adjusting the hem of her pleated skirt—far too short for comfort, the fabric barely grazing the tops of her sheer, black pantyhose. The heels she’d been instructed to wear clicked against the polished hardwood, each step sending a jolt of self-consciousness through her. Why did it always have to be heels? She thought, her toes already aching from the unnatural angle. The room smelled of aged leather and bergamot, the scent clinging to the heavy drapes and the spines of the books lining the walls. A fire crackled in the hearth, casting flickering shadows that danced across the Persian rug beneath her feet.

Liz stood by the window, her back turned, the late afternoon light filtering through the glass and gilding the edges of her tailored blazer. She didn’t turn immediately, letting the silence stretch just long enough to make Mel’s pulse quicken. She knows exactly what she’s doing, Mel thought, her breath hitching as she waited. The air between them was thick with anticipation, the kind that made her skin prickle with equal parts dread and something far more dangerous—excitement.

“You’re late,” Liz said at last, her voice smooth, almost amused. She turned slowly, her sharp gaze sweeping over Mel from head to toe, lingering just a second too long on the way the skirt rode up her thighs. “I don’t tolerate tardiness, Mel. You know that.”Mel swallowed hard, her fingers twisting together in front of her. “I—I’m sorry, Mistress. The traffic was—”“Excuses,” Liz cut in, stepping closer. The heels of her own boots—polished, sensible, nothing like the precarious stilts Mel was teetering on—clicked against the floor with deliberate precision. “I don’t want to hear them. What I do want is for you to remember your place.” She reached out, her fingers brushing against Mel’s collarbone before trailing down, the touch feather-light but weighted with authority. “And your place, darling, is beneath me.”Mel’s breath hitched, her skin tingling where Liz had touched her. She could feel the heat rising in her cheeks, a flush creeping down her neck. God, why does this always make me feel so… She didn’t let herself finish the thought. Instead, she dropped her gaze, her lashes fluttering against her flushed cheeks. “Yes, Mistress,” she murmured.Liz hummed, satisfied, her fingers sliding up to tilt Mel’s chin up. “Good girl,” she purred. “Now, I have a very important task for you today. Something that will remind you exactly who you belong to.” She stepped back, her eyes gleaming with something dark and playful. “I want you to kneel. Right here. And then I want you to tell me—in detail—how much you enjoy being my little slut.”Mel’s stomach flipped, her pulse spiking. No, no, no—she can’t mean— But the look in Liz’s eyes told her she did mean it. The command was clear, the expectation unmistakable. And yet, beneath the humiliation, beneath the mortification of having to say the words, there was that traitorous thrill again, coiling low in her belly. She hesitated, her breath coming faster. “M-Mistress, I—I don’t know if I can—”Liz’s expression darkened, just for a second. “You will,” she said firmly. “Or do I need to remind you what happens when you disobey?”Mel’s mouth went dry. She knew exactly what happened. The last time she’d hesitated, Liz had made her stand in the corner for an hour, her hands clasped behind her back, her skirt hiked up just enough to leave her exposed. The memory alone was enough to make heat pool between her thighs. Damn her.“No, Mistress,” Mel whispered, her voice trembling. She sank to her knees, wincing as the hard floor bit into her skin. The position forced her skirt up even higher, the cool air brushing against the damp heat gathering between her legs. She could feel Liz’s gaze on her, heavy and assessing, and it took everything in her not to squirm.

Liz circled her slowly, her boots clicking in a rhythm that matched the pounding of Mel’s heart. “Well?” she prompted, her voice dripping with amusement. “I’m waiting.”Mel’s face burned. She could feel the words sticking in her throat like glue, her tongue thick and uncooperative. But she had to say it. She had to. “I—I enjoy being your slut, Mistress,” she forced out, her voice barely above a whisper. Her hands clenched into fists at her sides, her nails digging into her palms. “I love… I love when you make me feel small. When you remind me that I’m yours to use. To—to degrade. To—to—”

“To what?” Liz pressed, her tone sharp.Mel’s breath hitched again. “To fuck,” she blurted, shame and desire twisting together in a knot so tight she thought she might choke on it. “I love when you fuck me like I’m nothing. Like I’m just a—a hole for you to use. A toy. Your slut.”Liz stopped in front of her then, her expression unreadable. For a long moment, she just stared down at Mel, her gaze dark and intense. Then, slowly, she reached out, tangling her fingers in Mel’s hair and tilting her head back. “Good girl,” she murmured, her voice softer now, almost affectionate. “That wasn’t so hard, was it?”

Mel’s breath came in shallow gasps, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She could feel the wetness between her thighs, could feel the way her body betrayed her, responding to the humiliation, to the control, to her. “N-no, Mistress,” she whispered.

Liz smiled, slow and satisfied. “Now,” she said, releasing Mel’s hair and stepping back, “I think it’s time for your reward.”

Mel’s heart leapt into her throat. A reward? After that? She didn’t dare hope—

But then Liz was unbuckling her belt, the sound of leather sliding through loops sending a fresh wave of heat through Mel’s body. Her fingers trembled as she watched, her mouth watering despite herself. Oh god. Oh god, she’s—

“On your hands and knees,” Liz commanded, her voice leaving no room for argument. “And don’t you dare make a sound until I tell you to.”

Mel scrambled to obey, her body moving on instinct. The floor was cold beneath her palms, the rug rough against her knees. She could feel Liz’s presence behind her, could hear the rustle of fabric as she knelt, the whisper of her breath as she leaned in close. Then—

A sharp crack echoed through the room as Liz’s hand came down on Mel’s ass, the sting of the slap making her gasp. “I said no sounds,” Liz reminded her, her voice a low growl.Mel bit her lip hard enough to taste copper, her body trembling as Liz’s hand came down again, and again, each slap sending a jolt of pain—and pleasure—through her. She could feel the heat building, could feel the way her skin burned beneath Liz’s touch.

The fire in the hearth had burned low, casting long, flickering shadows across the study as Mel knelt on the rug, her breath coming in uneven gasps. The sting of Liz’s palm still lingered on her skin, a reminder of the boundaries between them—boundaries that were as much about control as they were about care. The air smelled of smoke and something sweeter, like the faintest hint of vanilla from the candle on the desk, its flame dancing in time with Mel’s racing heart.

Liz stood over her, her expression unreadable in the dim light. The belt in her hand was coiled loosely now, the leather glinting as it swayed slightly with her movements. She didn’t speak at first, letting the silence stretch until Mel’s fingers curled into the rug beneath her, her nails digging into the fibers. She’s waiting for me to break, Mel realized, her pulse quickening. She wants me to beg.

And oh, how she wanted to.But not like this. Not when the weight of what they were doing pressed down on her chest like a stone. Mel swallowed hard, her throat dry. “M-Mistress,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I—I don’t think I can—”

Liz’s eyes flashed, her lips curling into a smirk that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “You don’t think you can?” she repeated, her tone dangerously soft. She stepped closer, the toes of her boots brushing against Mel’s knee. “Or you don’t think you should?”Mel’s breath hitched. That was the question, wasn’t it? The one that had been gnawing at her for weeks. She dropped her gaze, her lashes fluttering against her flushed cheeks. “I—I don’t know,” she admitted, her voice barely audible. “It’s just… it’s a lot. The—the way you look at me. The way you touch me. It’s like… like I’m not even me anymore.”Liz was silent for a long moment. Then, slowly, she crouched down in front of Mel, her fingers tilting Mel’s chin up until their eyes met. There was something softer in her expression now, something almost vulnerable. “You’re still you, Mel,” she said quietly. “That’s the point. I don’t want to break you. I want to remind you. Remind you that you’re stronger than you think. That you can take this. That you want to take this.”

Mel’s breath shuddered out of her. She wanted to believe her. God, she wanted to. But the doubt was still there, coiled tight in her chest like a snake. “What if I don’t?” she whispered. “What if I can’t?”Liz’s thumb brushed over Mel’s bottom lip, her touch gentle now, almost reverent. “Then we stop,” she said simply. “No questions asked. No punishment. No anything.” She leaned in closer, her breath warm against Mel’s ear. “But I don’t think that’s what you want, is it?”Mel’s heart pounded. She could feel the heat of Liz’s body, could smell the faint scent of her perfume—something floral and expensive, the kind that made Mel’s head spin. She wanted to lean into her. Wanted to let Liz take control, to let her fix everything, even if just for a little while. But the fear was still there too, the voice in the back of her head whispering that this wasn’t right. That she wasn’t enough.

“I—I don’t know what I want,” she admitted, her voice breaking.Liz exhaled slowly, her fingers sliding from Mel’s chin to cup her cheek. “Then let’s figure it out together,” she murmured. She stood abruptly, the sudden movement making Mel flinch, but Liz only held out her hand. “Come on. We’re not doing this here.”

Mel blinked up at her, confusion swirling in her chest. “W-what?”

Liz’s lips quirked. “I said, we’re not doing this here. Get up.”Mel hesitated, but the command in Liz’s voice was impossible to ignore. She took Liz’s hand, letting herself be pulled to her feet. The heels made her wobble, but Liz’s grip was steady, her fingers warm and sure around Mel’s. “Where are we going?” Mel asked, her voice small.

Liz didn’t answer. Instead, she led Mel out of the study, down the hallway, and up the grand staircase. The house was quiet, the only sound the creak of the floorboards beneath their feet. Mel’s heart raced as they reached the landing, her mind spinning with possibilities. What is she planning? What does she want from me?

They stopped in front of a door Mel had never been through before—a heavy oak thing with a brass handle that gleamed in the dim light of the hallway. Liz pushed it open, revealing a room bathed in soft, golden light. A four-poster bed dominated the space, its duvet a deep, rich blue, the kind that made Mel think of stormy skies. The walls were lined with bookshelves, and a plush armchair sat in the corner by the window, a throw blanket draped over its back. It was warm. *Safe.*Liz turned to her, cupping Mel’s face in her hands. “No more games,” she said softly. “Not tonight. Tonight, we talk. Or we don’t. But we’re not doing that again until you’re sure.”

Mel’s breath caught. There was something in Liz’s eyes—something raw and real—that made her chest ache. She nodded slowly, her fingers curling into the fabric of Liz’s blazer. “Okay,” she whispered.Liz smiled, slow and genuine, and Mel felt something inside her unclench. Maybe, just maybe, this was enough. Maybe it didn’t have to be about punishment or control or any of the things that had been weighing on her. Maybe it could just be about *them.*Liz leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Mel’s forehead. “Good girl,” she murmured. “Now, how about we order takeout and watch something ridiculous? I think we’ve earned a night off.”

Mel let out a shaky laugh, some of the tension draining from her shoulders. “That sounds… really nice,” she admitted.

Liz grinned, tugging her toward the bed. “Then get comfortable. I’ll go grab the menus.”As Liz disappeared back into the hallway, Mel sank onto the edge of the bed with a sigh. The duvet was soft beneath her fingers, the fabric cool against her flushed skin. She kicked off the heels with a groan, wiggling her toes in relief. No more of that tonight, she thought, rubbing at the red marks on her ankles. Just… this.

She glanced around the room, her gaze landing on the bookshelves. A small smile tugged at her lips as she spotted a familiar title—one of her favorites, a dog-eared copy of Pride and Prejudice tucked between a leather-bound atlas and a collection of poetry. She reached for it, her fingers brushing over the spine.

The door creaked open behind her, and Liz stepped back inside, menus in hand. “Find something you like?” she asked.Mel held up the book with a grin. “Just this. I haven’t read it in ages.”

Liz raised an eyebrow, stepping closer. “Oh? And here I thought you were more of a Bridgerton fan.”Mel laughed, the sound bright and genuine. “I can be both,” she said, nudging Liz with her shoulder as the older woman sat beside her. “Bridgerton is for fun. Austen is for… well, for when I want to feel smart.”

Liz chuckled, shaking her head. Then, more softly, she added, “I’m glad you’re here, Mel.”

Mel looked up at her then, her heart swelling. “Me too,” she whispered.

And for the first time in a long time, it felt like enough.
