I'm from Carrigaline, a town in County Cork, the southernmost part of Ireland. I was raised Catholic (now consider myself Pagan). I was raised by my mother. She was (and still is) a deeply traditional, religious, and strict women, to the point of being domineering. She is bigoted. She is against gay/lesbian relationships. She's the only person in my family who doesn't know I'm attracted to other women. I'm comfortable with her never knowing. We haven't had the best relationship over the years, but there were good times and I do love her. It's very complicated. 

I spent a lot of time as a little girl with my favorite aunt. She was a trainer of Irish race horses. She was the opposite of my mother and she is someone who I looked up to as a role model. 

I have 3 kids - my son is 13 and my daughters are 8 and 11. They know I'm attracted to other women. They don't know anything beyond that. I prefer to keep it that way. I do like occasionally hinting at my interest in BDSM and my role by wearing certin things (like a collar) in public.
