Well, here it is, my new car.
I bought a Honda FiT LX last week, and I've loved every second of it.
It's not a super powerful sports car, but it's got more than enough
power in such a small car to own any cavalier or low trim cobalt / g5
on the road with stock parts. 109 horses doesn't seem like much till
you drive it honestly, it's responsive and handles very well. The
price is unbeatable for a car of this calibur; additionally Honda
Canada is so pissed at Harper's green rebate on cars that they've
offered their on rebate on 5 speed modles of the fit, and civic. Soo
I'm getting a $1000.00 cheque in the mail from Honda Canada. Can
anyone say new rims?
The world of the modern subcompact car has been forever changed with
the release of the Honda FiT in the Americas last year, the Yaris,
Echo, Aveo, and Wave can't compete with this little beast. It out
preforms, out safetys, and has so many more options for seating
arangments and cargo space than any of the above noted vehicles. The
rear seats can recline, which is awesome in itself, but also they can
fold down into the floor adding another several feet of cargo space.
While we're on the topic of seats, did I mention that the rear seats
and front seats will fold together to make 2 beds? HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
Most people think...
"Ahhh subcompact car, I wouldn't want to take one of them on the highway!"
But honestlyll, the fit is more than steady enough, and has enough
power to get up to speed, and pass anything you want to pass swiftly
and easily on the highway.
Plus... how can you deny that this thing looks freaking cool?!
Also, with gas prices on the rise again, I get about 475km to a tank depending on how nicely I drive it.
From a safety standpoint this car is unbeatable, The Eco. had a total
loss claim on a 2007 Honda Fit last week, a young guy about my age was
driving his new FiT and hydroplaned into a curb, rolled the car, wrote
it off. The guy walked away without a scratch.
