I LOVE Music. Best Lyrics Ever??
|
|
Does anybody ever read these blog things? Just curious. The title of this is exactly what I want to
hear from you about. Send me your favorite lyrics from your favorite song/music, etc.
My music tastes are wide, varied, perhaps even eclectic.
I will share my favorite with you. Here it is. Beatles. (No surprise, they are my all-time favorites).
Song: Norweigan Wood
" I, once had a girl "
" Or should I say... "
" She once had me "
Words to live by, Daddy.
Words to live by. MWAH.

Thank You Whosyourdaddy.
Love both Queen & Bowie.. The story about how those two got together in Switzerland (I think?) to collaborate, is great. I find it fascinating that this is the choice of a cellist!! Would have figured you for something classical.
My fave classical piece = Claire de Lune by Debussy.
My favorite version is by: Khatia Buniatishvili
It enraptures me. It freezes me. Every time,
It is nothing short of insanely hypnotic to me.
But there is a long story from my past as to why...
Here is the link if you're curious as to what can touch my heart:

Thank you Lovelybalman48.
While I appreciate the lyrics and the thought behind the song itself, I find Courtney's voice too much to take. IMHO.. :-) ~Dar

Could I come again please?
Yeah, the ladies were too kind
You've been – thunderstruck, thunderstruckâ€

Does anybody ever read these blog things? Well, I didn't untill today and I'm glad to share a song with you that's timeless and still very appropriate for this day and age. Was never a big Beatles fan (sorry), but I love the Stones and Queen. The song I mean is "Under pressure", a brilliant co-op of Queen and David Bowie. Mercury's voice together with Bowie's just sounds amazing. Here's a link to the lyrics.

But I have lots of favorite songs to be honest. I sang myself and played the cello for 11 years. Started a year ago with the sax.
Cheers ;-)

I have a few favourites, this is one of them:....
Band: HOLE ~ Song: VIOLET
"And the sky was made of amethyst
And all the stars were just like little fish
You should learn when to go
You should learn how to say no
Might last a day, yeah
Mine is forever
Might last a day, yeah
Mine is forever
When they get what they want, and they never want it again
And they get what they want, and they never want it again
Go on, take everything, take everything, I want you to
Go on, take everything, take everything, I want you to"

I think that's pretty spot on with the lyrics; friendships getting complicated and such

Thank you Tardis.
Do you think those lyrics reference how sex tends to fuck up a friendship?
That's how I took it, anyway. I will give it a listen. ~Dar
Thanks Researching.
I very much like the little known artists often discovered in garages :-)
I will give it a listen. More eclectic entries to come. ~Dar

Freak Scene by Dinosaur Jr.:
"Sometimes I don't thrill you
Sometimes I think I'll kill you
Just don't let me fuck up, will you?
'Cause when I need a friend it's still you"
