I’ve been on Grindr for three weeks, and all I’ve achieved so far is to get ghosted. Chatted with a guy who lives locally, arranged a date, which he had to cancel for a family emergency. Fair enough. Rearranged, got a text at zero dark thirty that he was ill with a stomach bug. OK, third times the charm. Turned up at his flat at the arranged time – nothing. Didn’t answer the door, ignored messages on WhatsApp. He read the next day, then blocked me. Looks like he’s left Grindr too.

Three times of steeling my nerves, three times of being fucked about, as opposed to just fucked. 

I’m even getting in the app; just last night I spent a while chatting to a guy, all looking very good, probable meet up tomorrow. This morning, entire convo deleted.

What’s the fucking point?

Also – what’s with all the beards? Can’t stand beards.
