Think About What You Write Or Prefer

I have been active on this site for a long time. I accept that people have preferences that are different than mine. But I have concerns about three things I see regularly on here.

    1) Violent or physically, sexually, or psychologically abusive themes. These themes can reinforce violent tendencies in yourself or others. Please do not became a causal factor in someone else being harmed or killed.

    2) Excessive dominance, submission, and bondage themes. These themes have adverse impact on self esteem.  I have a persona as a sissy that is like playing a character in a play. It is fun! I do not let that drag me down in my perception of me as a person. We need to encourage ourselves and others toward being our best self with unlimited potential, not putting ourselves or others down. The world needs capable and active people, not submissive and passive ones.

     3) Racism. I think people overlook the constant references to BBC and BNWO, and subservience to other ethnic or religious groups as racist, and promoting slavery. Somehow people fail to recognize that this is a kind of unhealthy reverse racism that undoes all of the civil rights struggles of the past.

Once again, I respect that we all have preferences, and I will continue to avoid any pics and comments that promote these three very unhealthy topics, and encourage all of you to avoid them as well. These are topics that can produce massive worldwide cultural problems, the world faces major challenges, let's not contribute to them.

    @zCaption

That banned game is one of the VNs I was about to mention...along with one other title that took inspiration from on a real university club activities, but then I felt my perspective on them would be very awkward/irrelevant.

    >parents giving their kids unrestricted phone access

THIS is actually true, and very scary indeed. I'd be a hypocrite if I don't admit that I too was a bit rebellious and demanded more screentime as a kid (and tried to secretly gain access to a phone on many occasions!), but I also remember being grounded after my 'fun' time. But now I see some parents leaving their phones to kids and with a babysitter (as if they'd listen to them) just so that they won't "bother" them and go back to whatever 'important' stuff they need to attend to. And later they even boast that their kids are some sort of wizards....learning all the new tech stuff--- programming and AI !

About verification, If I read it right, I think that's also the basic check here on the site. So, I think yours is a reasonable demand.

    Anyways..

    Nice to meet you too.

    > I could have quoted some of the 'controversial' eroges
While I am aware that there are some fucked up VNs out there, most of them do take a pretty good step backwards from being comparable to reality, because of the art style alone.
Then again, the japanese porn game Rapelay was also banned in one or two countries.

    > But still, I believe that it affects only few of those without an active social life
You are right in the fact that the biggest part of those people are weirdos with no social life. The question is, however, also how those people became porn-addicted weirdos in the first place.
I would have to lie if I wouldn't admit that I discovered porn while I was quite a bit too young. While I'd like to think that it didn't shape my sexuality too much, some are probably going to be more impressionable than me. Especially with the rise of some parents giving their kids unrestricted phone access and some extreme, yet not out-right disgusting fetishes like the newer gooning, I can only imagine some teenager basically one shotting their life with it.

    > I completely agree with your observation(?) that [a] few ppl use fake-profiles
Regarding the question mark: It's an observation with a bit of experience to back it up.
The experience was with 2 "couples" and 1 "female" who wanted captions of their loved ones or themselves. Every time, when I ask for some verification if the person is actually okay with it, I get ghosted and in two cases the user's account was closed a few days later. It also wasn't like I asked for nudes or something for the verification. All of the women had tattoos or some other unique body attribute on a non-sexual body part visible in the photos in their galleries, so I just wanted a photo of that with them holding a note in frame with their username on it.

    Hello @zCaption,
Nice to meet you, and yes I know GTA/Mortal Kombat'd be bad examples, and to be honest I never even played those games before!!! but what can I do, I just felt the need to respond in the little time I've had, and then couldn't remember any names top of my head!

Now that I think calmly, I could have quoted some of the 'controversial' eroges (Japanese adult visual novels) I came across/played ..I don't want to divulge the specifics, but I am sure you've got an idea. But still, I believe that it affects only few of those without an active social life afk (I don't want to say a 'genetic' predisposition, because I don't believe in that sort CSI-esque profiling.). This, I can speak from from my own experience as a memeber/moderator of a few facebook groups dedicated to BL comics. Just because we read a lot them doesn't make us want to imagine every random pack of guys we see in rl going at it, although we joke about it with my friends, some of them are guys too!

I do partially agree with your opinion about 3) that sites like these are hardly places that start these memes/captions which could go on to influence on a global scale....because you have lot places where the 'real' stuff happens (4 chan /pol for this specific example, because who'd have guessed others pick up and it goes mainstream through social media!?)

And yes, I completely agree with your observation(?) that few ppl use fake-profiles pretending to be someone they are not (and if it's someone they're once intimate with it's just like revengeporn, and that should have no place. Period.

Anyways, thanks once again for sharing your opinion

    ..regards

I do somewhat agree with the thought of thinking about what you write.
As I have adjusted my writing a bit to try not get any pedophiles in my audience after reading some comments on some captions which were disgusting enough to directly mention an underage characters age. I now always write "late teenage" instead of just "teenage" and have deleted caps with multiple favs and 1000+ views, just to re-add them with changed text. As I wanted to remove any possible vagueness of a character not being at least 18.
There is probably some merit to just leaving it as "teenage" to let someone (who's not a pedophile and relatively normal) for example reminiscent about high school and being able to imagine having sex with the teacher they had a crush on shortly before they were 18, but shit like directly mentioning the age of a character under the age of 18 seems like it will just attract scum.

Back to the topic, I think you assume the scale of extreme hardcore porn consumption and its influence on people to be way too large though. World scale? Nah. Porn site scale and some weirder people like Elsie mentioned? Sure.
Considering some comments I have read on here, I would not be surprised if some of the people on here talk in a slightly similar manner irl to how they write in weird RP Sub/Dom speak on here.
Ultimately though, you are not able to choose your audience 100 % and may always end up with some psycho, porn-addicted gooners as people that also like your content, especially if you do more hardcore stuff. If you do encounter them, just tell them to log off and be normal for a while. I don't think you can really do anything else other than block them.

Concerning "3)": I just want to say that the idea of BNWO-like fetishists becoming terrorists to topple a government and declaring a certain race to be slaves (with more than half of themselves becoming some of those slaves) is incredibly funny, but also quite unrealistic. I would assume in most first-world countries slavery is outright unconstitutional and third-world countries have better things to worry about than deranged porn addicts outside of rape. While there may be one or two people who are actually more racist because of some raceplay content, I don't think it's much one should have to worry about.

Not to go too much off-topic, but what I view as a bigger problem than 2) and 3) on Imagefap is the expose culture that has grown on it. I'm not talking about the real people who want to be exposed and their photos shared around, but the people who are obsessed with some specific person, pretend to be them and want to have fakes, captions and/or tributes with them. It's just disgusting to me.

    @ElsieQt
I actually disagree with you on "1)" in a way. GTA and Mortal Kombat were always pretty bad examples of why violent video games could affect teenagers & children, even if they were the focus of much of those debates. GTA's main objective has always been to tell a story and be a fun sandbox, and Mortal Kombat was always very over the top and fantastical. The better examples to me would be Manhunt (Same developers as GTA, but just mission-style killing with very gruesome death animations for its time) and Hatred (Basically just shooting people for a disdain for humanity with some linear missions, though it's also a bit over the top), both have been banned in some countries (and still are in some) and glorify violence to a degree that even some gamers would object to while still being relatively grounded.

I would also say that you cannot quite compare violence in general entertainment with violence in pornography. In general entertainment, violence is always secondary. Even in movies like SAW the excitement is not derived from the violence itself, unless you are a psycho, but if the person is able to get out of it. Otherwise, it would just be a snuff film. In pornographic content, unless it is for some half-assed story, the violence or whatever other fetish does take the primary interest, otherwise one would not seek it out.
I would however also say that, as long as you know it's just a fantasy, that it's okay to have those fantasies. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done 2 dub-con captions.

    Sincerely, zCap.

Hello there. Nice to see someone writing about rl impact of online interactions. I really appreciate you, in particular, for mentioning racism and physical/psychological abuses (online or otherwise).

Having said that, I can't completely agree with your reasoning. For one, I can only see them manifesting with/in ppl who are addicts (porn or social-media).....to the point that they are socially withdrawn (from rl). Now, I don't think any average person'd have luxury to spend all the time watching porn than worrying about their work/ assignments (or maybe whether they'd be able to pay their bills!? ...)....unless they (wish to) make a career out of it!. So, a simple advice there would have been to self-monitor the time they are online (than with rl friends/ family....the point being that, they are capable of drawing clear lines between fantasy and reality).

Anyways, as a proud pornophile (I wish I could admit in rl lol) who see porn as blanket term for many creative/ alternate forms of expression (one of them being satire), I find your remarks a bit objectionable!!!.

    1) "Violent or..abusive themes....can reinforce violent tendencies in yourself or others"
Now where did we hear this before? Right, there're similar 'debates' on violent games/movies (and porn/ obscene literature!!!) as being responsible for criminal behavior. Really? I don't want to go all tarantino here, but I'd really like to know how many (criminals) of those who played/watched..I don't know GTA or Mortal Kombat (Hollywood action/slasher movies) are lurking around here?

    2) I don't know where to begin with on this remark,...you said bondage/dominance-submission plays have adverse affect on self-esteem, but then mention your 'fun' persona and how you'd never let it drag you down as a person. Did it not occur to you that it'd be the same for BDSM players as well.... that they are equally capable of drawing that line between doing a fun roleplay(acting a fantasy), than making it their life?

    3) You brought up a really good point here, about many people failing to realize the complexities associated with raceplay. Those who know it (as a fetish) simply laugh it off/don't care (as I usually do), but many others who don't know the 'actors' promoting it, are falling for the propaganda, just the same way they continue to be misled by disinformation. And I wish more ppl notice where/which groups create and share such media in the first place (I am not talking about the av studios, but the 'political' groups).

Oops, I may have kinda overreacted to your well-intentioned post. But I hope I haven't offended you. Sincere apologies otherwise!
