I too grew up in CT, though I graduated from high school (Amity, in Woodbridge) 25 years before you. Marching band was my favorite, I played tuba, since then I still play sometimes, and have learned something important. Though tuba players are often o ignored or made fun of, we have a secret. Playing tuba makes the muscles in our lips strong and our tongues supple. When a tuba kisses, they can manipulate their mouths in way no one else can.
