So nearly a month since I heard from my old lover, will always be doomed to wonder about the road not traveled, and I will never be able to.
Just be nice if she would reach out occasionally, an email, txt. I don't want to hurt her, or remind her of her husband's death, so I have to stay away. But I am dying too, and that dream of a winter re-ignition of the love we had once long, long ago, will never happen.
Too sad, too, too sad to endure.
