Help wanted:

 "I wasn't always this cautious. I used to slide in and out of relationships like a shark. Take a bite, swim away. Easy in, easy out. Isn't that way any more. Now I am more on edge. Jumpy. It's all because of that Island, that damned island. And that job I took there. One of two. I used to work as a bartender at the bar that they have attached to the casino. I was popular with the ladies. They would sidle up, stir their drinks, and ask me what was good on the menu. I kept in shape so I was easy on the eyes. Played the game like a trouper. One night stands. Give the old broads a little thrill before they went under the knife or back to the mainland. It was okay. But there's not much to do there. I got bored, did a little gambling. Soon as was in hock up to my knees, which I wished to keep. I was in a bind. Then I heard I could make a little money by working at the Clinic. They were looking for orderlies. The first few weeks were exactly what I thought, pushing the old broads from room to room as they received their makeovers. Piece of cake. Everyone was satisfied with what I did. Some of the patients would give me the eye and would meet them at the bar after work. No sweat.
Then they tell me that they are so impressed with my working that they are transferring me to the other wing. The new one. I say, okay fine. First thing I notice is that it doesn't look like a hospital at all, more like a deck on a cruise ship. And the old broads waiting for their treatment (that's what they called it there, not an operation, but the Treatment) well, they are not so old anymore. Some of them are quite young. And they are running around in smocks, different colored smocks, and I can't help thinking those colors mean something...." -- Andrew.
