Yes. Yes, it is.
If you follow me at all, you'll realize that a gallery date is missing from the July 2019 folder, and it wasn't because I got lazy and skipped a day.
No, Imagefap deleted it.
"OMG!" Shock and Horror! "WHYYY????"
(Yeah, overly dramatic. So sue me.)
Why? Well, there were TWO beastie GIFs in it. TWO. If I'm not mistaken, there were about a hundred pix or so in that gallery. And I'd downloaded those pix (as well as the rest of them except the text art) from Imagefap that very same day. That's why I post every day, because I download every day. I literally download each of those pictures to my computer and more as well, usually. The ones that get posted are the ones I keep for whatever reason.
I don't have a lot of Favorites because when I "Favorite" a gallery, there's a public reason for it. Now, it may be my reason which won't be the same reasons you may have, and that's fine. This particular profile/account has a purpose and that's to share with others the images I download that I'll use for something like a story idea, a caption idea, or that fits into a gallery I used to post with an old profile that got Closed which I plan to 'recreate' with new galleries. But I do find galleries and posters who I think are impactful enough on what I'm doing at this point in time which merits bookmarking in one way or another.
As to deleting my gallery, not to mention Closing my old profile. That profile was not the first one I've had closed, nor, truth be told, do I expect it to be the last. I post things that are controversial, and depending on where you live, may not meet certain criteria your country/state/region/county/whatever deems appropriate.
But, Imagefap is about fantasy, not reality so much. That's what sites around the internet do, and the overwhelming majority of them aren't even porn sites. And that's what my captions and galleries and stories feed. A fantasy. It may be a fantasy for a small segment of those who visit here, but it's still a fantasy that's being created in the mind of whoever views that particular image.
Pictures depict a reality. It may be a reality built off of some model standing in front of a green screen or lying on a hotel bed while a photography or film crew documents, but the desire of that film crew or photo crew is to document a fantasy. A hot wife in a hotel or on a beach. A daughter who finds her dad or brother the epitome of her desire, whatever that desire may be. A sissy who wants to scratch that itch to reveal their feminine side. The Sadist or Masochist, Dom or sub looking for like minded people.
The thing is, regardless of the topic, someone is going to find it offensive. And if you're part of the 'porn patrol' for a church or whatever, you're not going to find redemption here. Personally, I find TS/Sissy pix in pantyhose/stocking galleries irritating beyond words and scat pictures are simply nauseating. But I do NOT complain because we are all individuals and we each have our own personal kinks, twists and perversions (I don't care how Christian/Catholic/Jewish/Mulsim/Buddist/whatever you are, there's something that trips your own personal trigger) and I have no room to complain, nor do I have the desire to do so, simply because someone else's kink is nowhere close to one of mine. I simply scroll on by in hopes of finding something that is.
Now, I'm not here to argue with the moderators. Much. We can quibble on a lot of things like "if I got it here, why do I get entire galleries deleted or accounts closed because I repost content THAT ALREADY EXISTS ON IMAGEFAP IN THE FIRST PLACE (which means in its original form for caption pix).
Fine. I get that the beastie pix may've crossed a line, but keep in mind that in many countries and even many states in America there are either no laws about beastiality or laws against it. However, in some states and some countries, it is illegal. So, I get their splitting of a hair that direction. But I sourced those pictures HERE on IMAGEFAP.
Keep in mind, when I post a gallery, even when I post my 'other' galleries, I rarely post a whole gallery devoted to one series of pix or even concepts. There's almost always a wide variety of topics in the pictures as anyone who pays any attention to what I download can tell. There are, since I'm a dyed in the wool leg man, especially when that particular limb is covered in nylon... at any rate, that means pantyhose pix, stocking pix, since a sexy secretary almost always has to look her best and hosiery is almost always involved, office/secretary pix (and that topic has broadened, so.. not all office pix are sexxxxy.. lol) and since I do galleries about pantyhose stuff, that means some pictures get downloaded that uh... have to have a certain appeal.
And even within galleries on a topic like women exposed from the waist all the way to their feet wearing pantyhose or whether stockings and pantyhose have a reinforced heel and/or toe or whether some female is asleep or passed out and someone has their cock in their face, there are huge variances in sub-topics like weight or age, sexual orientation or location, even whether or not an image could conceivably be considered 'hardcore' versus what 'non-nude' actually means. If I post something that could be construed as against Imagefap Guidelines, there are only a very few pictures in a particular gallery that could be affected. Not the entire gallery. And certainly not the entire profile.
Oh, I get it. There are some out there that will post anything and not care what the ramifications are, and in those cases, I can certainly approve of deleting those profiles. From those who are trying to abuse the system by posing illegal content to spammers trying to 'findyourwebsite', there are legitimate reasons to close accounts and to delete content. I'm simply saying don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
This site is a truly remarkable resource for me. I can find pictures on virtually any topic if I'm creative enough in my searches and don't mind diving into a few rabbit holes. The moderators (and owners) have ultimate control of what winds up here and if I post something that should be deleted, fine. Delete it. But don't doubt that I didn't find that content here, because this is pretty much the only place I get my ideas/gallery content from. I don't have to go anywhere else because the library here is enough to fuel what I need to find.
And that includes story ideas and caption ideas. I currently have wayyy too many stories started that I think have characters I can write about. I have three stories I'm writing almost concurrently, and yes, that gets confusing as hell sometimes. But, when these 'stories' start approacing 100,000 words, you start to wonder if there's a market for this.
There used to be a fairly substantial paperback and magazine story market out there and in some respect, I'm sure there still is or sites like eroticstories or literotica wouldn't exist. Some of the most famous authors of recent times wrote articles for Playboy including Ray Bradbury (if you're into hardcore, society shaping literature) and Ian Fleming (can you say, 'Bond. James Bond'?) to name just a couple of them. The problem now, of course, is that since there's an internet, information is 'free'.. whether it wants to be or not. Hard for an author to make any money on a book when:
A) The print market is saturated with really good writers. If someone has the ability to put together a book, even in outline form, and sit down and write it, or have another writer 'ghost' it, then the magic makers out there (also known as the marketing department) can find a way to sell it. After it's been edited (and spell checked and grammar checked, which can be problematic, especially since not everyone can spell, chat rooms and IM streams are NOT grammatical at all, and most people, especially around family, don't speak Proper English.) and issues like plot line issue or where the cat was laying when a scene was taking place get resolved. (Cats are not magic, as much as it may seem like it. They cannot teleport from one room to another in the space of a split second in The Real World. Ok. Pixel could, but that's Robert A. Heinlein. And Faithful/Pounce from Tamora Pierce...anyway.) Needless to say, a book that gets sent to a publisher gets well massaged before it goes to the bookstores and Amazon.
B) There are a LOT of not only places to get those aforementioned books for free (it can be a challenge at times, but even the newest releases show up eventually) but a lot of sites that have some really entertaining adult content which is totally free which I mentioned above. And there's even a site where you can still find those old original Adult Paperback Books Like Dad and GrandDad had in their 'hidden places'. All you have to do is as a dot com after site names mentioned above like you can for triplexbooks and you'll find what I'm telling you about.
Point being, there's so much content out there, with sites like motherless, PornHub and Heavy-R out there, that finding someone who wants to READ erotica and pay for it, except with something as unremarkable as a banner click or possibly a relatively innocuous site membership somewhere down the line, why make the effort? Put a pin in that. We'll get back to it.
I have to digress though. I'm not promoting the sites per se. Not out of any gain at any rate and I'm trying to do it in such a way as to not trigger the moderators on Imagefap because, truth be told, they're just sites I like and want to see stay alive. And a site like triplexbooks is such a unique resource that hasn't been co-opted by a bigger company, that resource needs to be maintained and not corporatized. At any rate, these sites are personal sites I like, or I wouldn't mention them.
But that's because, like literotica, there's a lot of really good content in there that approaches a wide variety of topics, Now, admittedly, there are some stories that have been posted (and that get posted) that aren't really well thought out or written with skill. But it's a free site that encourages anyone to contribute stories if they want. The moderation there has some strict barriers (beastiality and children in the 'this won't get posted' category and spelling/grammar can be problematic), but those barriers are loose enough to allow some not great content to make it's way through as well. Caveat Emptor.
Now. Back to that pin. Why make the effort?
I've always been a writer. I even made a living as a freelance writer for about five years, and have had my content on topics as diverse as dog toys, real estate, the gold and silver markets and even satellite TV published all over the internet. Have you read any of it? Who knows. The stuff I was writing was just as important to me as the yellow paint is to the guy who sits in the truck and paints the double yellow lines down the middle of the road... (Or white... whatever...)
Maybe and if you have, yay. If not, so? It was 'content' for a mill. It paid my bills and that's all that counted. Yellow (white) paint. "Hey, sis. You know something? I painted that yellow line over there." It may mean a little something to him, but it means even less to those around him and to someone like me? It's a friggin' yellow line.
Sure, somebody painted that yellow line. On the internet, somebody wrote a blog post or tech article or information piece about a product or service and got paid for it just like he got paid to make sure the truck stayed where it was supposed to be and that he knows how to spell SCHOOL instead of SHCOOL.
I wrote articles based on info I had from companies about their products or services, especially when I was already familiar with the product or services. And being a tech type, that means I wrote for both big US satellite TV providers and several of the US cable companies. And, since they needed to push a product or idea, that meant my story had to lean in that direction. I was always much better at writing 'for' than 'against' although there were topics....
There was a site I interacted with on occasion where I would even 'spin' my stories so they could be reused under different identities. 'Spinning' is essentially rewriting every line in the article to where it says essentially the same thing in the same space, but with enough different words to prevent a 'plagerism' claim. Pretty esoteric crap, but that's freelancing at its roots. It can be an artform.
So, when you read an article from someone, even if they have a 'real name' and 'credentials', unless they're on a truly reputable source, that identity may not really exist at all. Even if there is a picture and an email address that responds. Half the identities at a lot of websites or media posts are fake, especially the ones that are 'static'. Half if not more, especially when it comes to Facebook. And the truth of the matter is, nobody cares. Not even me, unless you were someone who enjoyed the article I wrote and got something useful out of it.
But what I'm doing now isn't writing with the expectation of getting paid for it. I'm writing because I can and because I want to. I'd love to make a living as a writer, publishing novels and living a Stephen King-esque existence (except without the van, thank you very much!), but the topics where my flow of ideas originates probably won't pay my bills like Mr. King's ability to turn his nightmares into money has done his.
See, the general consensus is "write what you know about" which is where books from retired military come from that describe a successful sniper shot from well over a mile away with a rifle that, with some 'loving' can be bought at your local gun shop (if you're in the US. Anywhere else, check your resources. And no, it wasn't a 50 BMG. It was a hunting rifle.)
King knows about horror, military snipers know about sniping. And there's a market for that. I know horror. I know tech. I know sci-fi and fantasy. I know romance and Westerns. From literary Classics all the way through more than one Harequin (or a subsidiary) series. But not intimately enough to write my own version of what I feel would be saleable.
I really think I could've ghosted Annja Creed (Rogue Angel series by 'Alex Archer') and been successful with it but i didn't discover it until it had been through a couple of writers already and Harlequin(subsidiary) had already ended the series by the time I was serious enough about it to make a move to find out how to get from point A to point B.
But they had a good run with it. A new book almost every 3 months (a quarter) from 2006 until 2016 when they cancelled it. I knew some history and all the rest and with a little research, I could do that. Could've done that. But, back to the topic at hand. What can I write about that I WANT to write about?
Since they say write what you know, well, I know about sexual fantasies. Especially my own. And that's what I want to write about. So I do.
I've actually had stories published on the two story sites I've mentioned above and they've been um... reposted elsewhere, which is all well and good, but if anyone had anything good to say about those stories, I didn't know about it and still don't.
But the comments I got from those sites and from other places I put them and received feedback from, it was generally positive. However, if you go to look for my connections there, TheWordSmith nick isn't anywhere near the nick I use on those sites, so that's not a clue. Although have fun with that rabbit hole. Lemme know what you find.
The stories I'm writing now are, while in some respects a later generation of those stories. one of which approached 25k words, and to me at the time, writing something that large was a lot! But now that I've written and even ghosted a couple of much lengthlier articles and even a couple of short books, I realize that even though that they did what they were supposed to do, tell the story I wanted to tell, I think I may be able to do them better now.
But those stories are told. Beth, Julie and Glory are my main focuses right now for story ideas.
Which brings me right back to where I started.
I post the stuff I do because they somehow relate to something I intend to use in the future. Like a story idea, a picture in a gallery I plan to post or a caption I plan to do. And even though I may find a picture in a gallery on Imagefap that pertains to an idea I'm working on that doesn't adhere to Imagefap's TOS (or whatever they call it. Probably not Terms Of Service... meh...), or even if I create a caption that may be outside of some imagined rule, that's no cause to delete an entire gallery. There MAY BE two, three or maybe even four pictures/captions in a series that someone could find offensive. But that's no cause to delete the entire gallery or close a profile.
If asked POLITELY (and quickly, as within a day or so) I can usually backtrack and find the ORIGINAL LOCATION of the picture I sourced. That MAY NOT BE the only place on IF it can be found, but that'll be where I got it. As for it being posted in my gallery? I don't care. Like I've said elsewhere, once that gallery is posted, except for picture comments, I don't care how many people look at it (except for maybe the text art. I do put forth a little effort on that). If it gets deleted, it gets deleted.
I cannot recreate it. Much like there's no real way to recreate every breath you took or every thought you had on your July 12th of 2019. there's no way I can recreate the gallery I downloaded that day. I doubt I could even recreate the backtrail to find the original horse GIFs that got the gallery deleted in the first place.
At any rate, that's why July 12th 2019 is missing and some of my thoughts surrounding it.
Moderation is good... in moderation.
