My Grandma (91) was such a good teacher when we were all young.
She passed on very sensible common-sense advice to us all and
we love her dearly. Some examples:
RELIGION... "You'd better pray that comes out of the carpet!"
LOGIC... "Because I said so, that's why."
IRONY... "Keep crying and I'll really give you something to cry about."
WISDOM... "When you get to my age, you'll soon understand."
JUSTICE... "One day you'll have kids. I hope they'll turn out just like you."
PROCRASTINATION... "If you don't find something to do, I'll find a job for you to do."
COMMON SENSE... The sweet Lord padded your behind for a very good reason.
REASON... "Teenagers are why animals in the wild eat their young."
Those were the days!
