A message for those club managers who require a request to join their club:
I understand why this is sometimes desirable. But if you require this, have the decency to give a *response* to a sincere request, even if it's rejected.

When I give a polite, detailed, intelligent, honest reason for wanting to join your club - followed always by a "thank you for considering me" - and you not only don't add me but fail to even reply, I think that's rude. Should I be accepted in every club? Of course not. But this has happened to three requests recently with no explanation or response. In each case the club was relevant to my interests, as should be obvious if the "manager" would take the time to view my profile.

The next time someone is rude to you, remember how *you* treat people. Try to muster some courtesy for someone who is courteous to you, and who expresses an interest in your creation.
