BBC LIFESTYLE #3 In the age of social media, things can grow exponentially at a rapid pace. So it was with the BBC lifestyle. People returned from Darkside and extolled it’s virtues. Celebrities went there VIP, perhaps Blacked for the first time, then went public with their declaration of being converted to the BBC lifestyle. Of course, this behaviour influenced thousands to try it and see what all the fuss was about. Few of them were disappointed. Apps like #mandingo, movements like #asians4BBC #muslims4BBC #teens4BBC and of course #blackedwivesmatter where among the first to ‘recruit’ new members. Youtube’s restrictions are pushed to their limits by Queen of Spades channels and BBC influencers who are modelling BBC style clothing and promoting the lifestyle. One of the great things about BBC going mainstream is that it’s no longer underground, nor has a stigma , so those wasp conservatives can now reveal that Queen of Spades tattoo, or even better, go and have one done. The parallels with the Gay movement of the seventies are obvious. How long is it before the world can declare BBC day?
