Chitra Suhka Van Peebles (born in Georgetown, Guyana) is American-Guyanese yoga instructor, actress, author and dancer of Indian descends. Apart from being an actress, she is also an accomplished Indian classical dancer. She is quite conversant with the ancient dance style called ‘Bharata Natyam’. Through her Yoga, Vedanta, Ayurveda, and meditation, she aims to achieve her Triple E cause which is; To Enrich, To Empower, and To Enlighten. During her university days, she had a nagging desire to learn and indulge in the pleasures of the material world and this inspired her decision to try modeling. Chitra was quite successful in this path but she didn’t find fulfillment here. Chitra and her husband Mario have been married for quite a while now and together they have three children. However, Mario has two kids from his previous relationship with Lisa Vitello and Chitra takes care of and tends to all 5 children. Just like her husband, Chitra is an actress who has featured in movies such as ‘Love Kills which was released in 1998, ‘Judgement’ released in 1999, and the 2018 released movie ‘Armed’.
