I've had a few alpha female bosses in my career, beginning with my first job. In every case, the woman, no matter how qualified, found it necessary to prove themselves, sometimes at my expense. I can put up an act about being alpha, but after a while, it's impossible for a true beta like myself to keep it up, and I become a target for bullying. I've had one of my female bosses take accounts from me, and give them to new, younger girls who she liked. I've been called piss ant in front of other employees, and I've been fired for not keeping up with the female employees on her team. The gallery here is a work of fiction but based on my real-life feminist boss. I was able to fool her to get the job or she was desperate to fill the position when she couldn't find anyone with the right qualifications, and she thought she would be able to bully and intimidate me (which she did). Her team was mostly made up of women, because she was adamant about providing opportunities for women, who she felt were discriminated against. In any event she quickly determined I was a beta, and I think it really disgusted her, she wanted only hard charging alphas on her team. She enjoyed giving me extra reporting tasks that the women on the team didn't have to complete, along with other additional busy work. When my performance slipped, she piled on even more work, and it was clear she wanted me gone. I complied with everything she wanted but, in the end, she fired me. It was probably the most humbling and humiliating event in my life, being fired by a woman that I was attracted to. Being told that I wasn't performing up to her standards and was unable to keep up with the women on the team was an ego crusher. I simply took it. I offered no argument or back talk. I found out later that she had told the women on the team that she was going to fire me, she enjoyed showing off her feminist power to them, to show them what she could do to a man.
