Clark Backo (born: 09/05/93 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian actress of Cameroonian origins. She is most noted for her recurring role as Rosie, Wayne's love interest, in the television series Letterkenny, and her starring role as Emma in the AppleTV television series The Changeling (2023). Born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Clark Backo grew up immersed in her academic life, dance and modeling but it was her father's persistent storytelling throughout her childhood that would eventually pull her into the acting industry. During her year off between high school and university for Sciences, Clark decided to take acting classes and enrolled in scene study classes with Jock MacDonald at Straeon Studios. Clark has had the pleasure of working on projects such as roles on CBC's Shoot the Messenger, Netflix's Hemlock Grove, and Global's Remedy. She is also known for her work in the film Sadie's Last Days on Earth. Clark Backo is known for Letterkenny (2016), The Handmaid's Tale (2017) and Designated Survivor (2016). She has also appeared in the television series Remedy, Shoot the Messenger, 21 Thunder, Designated Survivor, Wynonna Earp, Supernatural and The Handmaid's Tale, and in the film Happy Place.[3] She was an ACTRA Award nominee for Outstanding Performance (Female) at the ACTRA Toronto awards in 2021 for Happy Place.
