Lindsey Weiss (they/them) is a professional actor from Queens, NY and Putnam County, NY. In addition to performing, Lindsey writes, (sometimes for Scapi!) gardens, reads, looks at memes, and drinks ginger tea in quantities previously unknown to science. They are represented by KMR Talent. Lindsey Weiss is known for Transparent (2013) and Bengalfuel: So Vortexy (2020, music video). Lindsey Weiss (role of Frances) is incredibly excited to participate in her first film, Transparent. Primarily a stage actress, she performs in various venues around Westchester and New York, including May in Time Flies and Roberta in Working. She is currently a sophomore at John Jay High School in Cross River, NY, where she plays Ultimate Frisbee and sings in A Capella groups. Thanks and nods to The Organization, JJTW, the Maltese Mob, and cute boys everywhere. Lindsey was especially attracted to this project because of her involvement in LGBTQ issues. As a cissexual individual, it is easy to sympathize, but often difficult to relate to the unique problems that trans and gendervariant people face merely as a result of their gender, and projects like Transparent can be a help to everyone, binary or otherwise. Lindsey is a recent graduate of Northwestern University's Theatre Program as of December 2018 and thrilled that Curious Incident is their first post-grad show. In their native New York, Lindsey is also a writer/performer for the Trans Literacy Project at Honest Accomplice Theatre and pursuing their MA in Disability Studies at CUNY School of Professional Studies. Lindsey is themselves proudly autistic (yes, really) and could not be prouder to lend their artistic voice to a play that deals so joyously in autistic lived experience.
