Tamayo Otsuki (born on 29 May 1959 in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese American actress and stand-up comic. She was born and raised in Osaka and learned English during an 18 month stay in Cambridge. Tamayo is known for her role of the Korean store owner in "Don't Be a Menace". Although scenes like the one Tamayo did today would be considered insensitive, Tamayo is still a trailblazer for Asian American comedians and actresses. She is an actress, known for Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996), Davis Rules (1991), Anarchy TV (1998) and CBS Summer Playhouse (1987).
