Méhes Marietta (born June 17, 1958 in Budapest, Hungary) is Hungarian born singer and actress. Since 1985 she live in USA. As an actress,she is known for Eszkimó asszony fázik (1984), Női kezekben (1981), Kutya éji dala (1983) and Anche lei fumava il sigaro... (1985). At the age of 17, she married Lóránt Méhes (from then on she uses the name Méhes). While working in a factory in Kőbánya, she graduated from the Fine Arts High School. She circulated in underground circles and became acquainted with many innovative, avant-garde artists of the time, including Péter Dobai, Tamás Szentjóby, Miklós Erdély, Péter Hajnóczy, and Gábor Bódy, with whom she had his first child, Zita, in 1977. The decadent, Marietta Méhes became known as the singer and lyricist of the band Trabant, founded in the summer of 1980, but mostly as a platinum blonde film actress who was deified in certain circles as a sex symbol. Her career did not last long: on October 4, 1984, she traveled to a film shoot in Italy, from where she did not return, but defected to the United States in the spring of 1985. She currently lives in New York, where she works with applied graphics and web design. Her second child was already born in the USA.
