It had been a number of weeks since her younger colleague became her lover, accommodating this into her life had not been too difficult, much helped by how considerate he was. She did however find her thoughts intruding, lost in thought, contemplating the future. Did she want to leave her husband? Was this too good to be true? It was hard to tell from the releasing, more carefree and sometimes exhilerating times with her lover if this was the beginning of something or just a temporary distraction. Maybe in time it would be less thrilling, less exciting and more a chore.
As they do, events threw a curveball. A close friend had a wedding planned, she and her husband had been invited, and four weeks before the date her husband decided instead that weekend to go on a motorbike trip with his mates. She was so angry with him, but felt embarrassment above all. She didn't really know anyone else at the wedding, and really wanted to see her friend have her special day. She confided in her friend who assured her she was still very welcome, and that she could bring anyone she wanted with her, she already knew how difficult things had been with her husband over the past few years. She told her lover about the situation, who was typically accommodating. "I'd go with you if it didn't cause waves, its important for you". That laid the seed for her. But it was her friends day and she didn't want her drama with her husband to intrude on it. When she met her friend the following week for a chat, she didn't bring it up but her friend did. "you can honestly bring anyone you want" she said pointedly, then leading the conversation for her "a girl, a boy, whoever you want with you". She told her friend that there was a young male colleague who had been a very big moral support for her, her friend said "he is more than welcome, we'd love to meet him". Her friend clearly sensed he was more than this, but did not want her to feel embarrassed.
Her lover agreed to come with her, "tell me what you want me to do, its about you having a wonderful time with your friend and feeling comfortable". Excited about the day, she picked a classy figure hugging outfit. When he first saw her, her lover's jaw dropped open "wow" he said "you look fantastic". The event was great fun, her lover was wonderful, talking with other guest and getting on with everyone, attending to her to ensure she was okay and having a good time. And she was, it felt such a release to be at the event seeing people have fun, her friend married and happy. Any time she felt that dark cloud over her own marriage, she would look at her lover, either sat discretely with her, or charming other guests.
By 12 they made their way to the hotel together. She had always had good vibes about her lover, but she was genuinely thrown by his care and consideration that day. He'd done it for her because he wanted to see her happy. Entering their hotel room, she told him to wait for her as she prepared in the bathroom. When she came out, she was wearing elegant lingerie. Not the first time that day his jaw dropped "oh my god". Enjoying his attention, she slowly removed her panties for him. "you've made me so happy today" she said with seriousness as she came to him. "I love you" she said as he gently held her, looking into his eyes. He immediately replied "I love you too, so much". She kissed him lightly, then let him kisses her cheek, her neck. "we do not need protection, not any more" she said as she looked at him in the eye again.
