Alessandra Lopez y Royo (born 1957 in Salerno region, Italy) is a former London, UK university lecturer with a PhD in Art History and Archaeology. She began modelling in her late forties after being spotted in central London and was soon in demand for commercials and editorials, also working as a runway model under acronims Alex Bruni, Alexandra Bruni or Alex B. A fashion activist committed to fashion diversity and sustainability, Alex blogs and writes to complement her modelling. She is currently working on a book on global fashion to be published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2019, Contemporary Indonesian Fashion: Through the Looking Glass, using Indonesian contemporary fashion as a case study. As a model she is represented exclusively by Grey Model Agency whose mission to make older women and men more visible in fashion and the media is totally compatible with Alex's desire to change the way age is perceived and represented. Alex B. (aka Alessandra Lopez y Royo) is a London based fashion writer, blogger and occasional model, originally from the Salento region in Italy.
