Edita Vilkevičiūtė (born 1 January 1989 in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union, now Lithuania) is a Lithuanian fashion model. Vilkevičiūtė was born on New Year's Day in 1989. She has a younger sister who is an event planner, her father is a teacher, and her mother is a homemaker. Vilkevičiūtė described her childhood as "simple and perfect" with "a lot of nature around and forests." She learned instruments, played basketball, and rode horses.Vilkevičiūtė was on holiday in Palanga when she was encouraged to enter a modeling contest. With her father's permission, she starting working with a local agency and moved to Spain for work. After her discovery, Vilkevičiūtė signed to Women Management's Milan division at the age of 17 years, later, VIVA in Paris in 2006. Her runway debut was at Just Cavalli for the spring/summer 2006 shows in Milan. The following month, she featured in her first Vogue Paris editorial, shot by Katja Rahlwes, followed by another in February 2007 by Mark Segal. Vilkevičiūtė married Björn Frederic Gerling in July 2017.
