I was about playing with other kids in a field near home which was Ivy Walk Willenhall Coventry, notorious estate. Some slightly older kids called us over where we could see a large group of youths and men behind some hay bales most of them were at elaste semi naked. The "ACTION" was obscured but one of the older kids said "there's a woman with them" another said "its your mum" another said Don't you shouldn't tell him that". One of the men spotted us and chased us off, we all ran home and me to my 1st floor maisonette, I banged on the door waiting for my mum to answer but no one came, dad being at work.

It was well over an hour before my mum appeared from under the very same railway bridge I had just run under. I asked her if she had seen us or the men that chased us, she replied no and what had we seen or been upto. I said that the men chased us for spying on them and a woman she laughed and said well serves you right!!

My mum looked a bit of a mess and very red faced with her stockings laddered and strips of hay on her skirt and blouse. She then said she needed a bath and she'd be a while. I returned to my bedroom and saw about 10 / 12 men and older youths coming from under the bridge..........
