Frequent uploaders to ImageFap:

I have just read in the running thread regarding how adding pictures to existing galleries -- which since the beginning of ImageFap's existence so far as I am aware has resulted in that gallery both being moved (I use the term "bumped", a borrowing from forums generally) to the top of all relevant lists and that gallery's last-modified date being changed to the date, by the Dutch calendar, that the pictures were added -- now does neither for a good number of members who add to galleries as often as some of us do.

It seems, as replies from support@imagefap.com to other members who have posted to that Forum thread bear out, that this is not a flaw or a bug, but a feature implemented "to prevent spammers from constantly getting their pages on top of the list."

I presume "the list" means the site's main Gallery list, but what "pages" means when the issue is one of gallery position on many more lists than the one "Big List" is puzzling. It's almost like they're not really sure of what they're talking about. And you'll notice no reference was made to the fact that the dates of these modified galleries were not being changed as before. Part Two of the anti-spammer measure?

The one concession made, and a hint weaker than this you'll seldom find in any email correspondence with something calling itself support, is that "Maybe it will be restored in a future update."

Fine. How many flength file errors, added server disks, changed DNSes and new members, taking advantage of their ability to post an unlimited number of galleries of up to 1000 pictures each (which starts the whole cycle again), will that be from now?

Time will tell, 'cause support's pretty much silent on that score.
