Choose your categories wisely

This announcement is a bit over due. But since we have been receiving more complaints than usualy lately, this is worth mentioning.

The success of the site depends on you (the uploaders) to correctly choose the correct categories when you make a new gallery.

For example, you can imagine how annoying it would be to browse a category. Then come to find what you were looking for makes almost no sense.

So lets say you upload a gallery titled My Wife. And you choose the Gang Bang category. But what you have uploaded is just her posing. While your intention of 'wishing' she was in a gang bang, or she did a gang bang at one time in her life it doesn't justify you choosing the gang bang category.

Another example of someone uploading a full bodied person and we see their feet. There is no reason for you to choose the feet category. Sadly, some people are doing this.

Commonly guys will upload their wives and choose Interracial. Again as before, its nice that you wish your wife was banged by a black dude, but if there is no sex at all (which we see often) then you should not choose interracial.

I think everyone gets the point. So knowing this, if we find a gallery that is clearly mislabeled just so you can get picture views, we will delete the gallery.

Now we know that (for example) you upload a gallery of 20 pictures and 'a few' don't meet the criteria of the picture content and gallery chosen, we won't kill your gallery.

Right now I am looking at a gallery titled "My Pussy". Great. She is totally nude with no skirt in sight. But the user decided to pick the UpSkirt category which is totally wrong. To make things worse, BBW should have been chosen along with Softcore.

So what we are asking is to please take the extra 3 seconds and choose the proper categories. Doing so will not annoy the visitors ot the site. And in the end you might end up with more fans if you are organized.

Glad to see that this issue is going to get some attention. It's certainly appreciated when regular posters try to place their galleries in categories which are at least somewhat related to the content, but of course the spammers follow no rules anyway. The mods will be busy.

It's been something that grates on my sensibilities. I frequent the BBW section and when someone dumps (for instance) a thousand Twiggy-like images in there, it's disgusting – particularly if you're expecting the opposite. A method for reporting this type of behaviour would be appreciated.

Yeh - all good - it might help if you were able to add a few more categories:
Small boobs not there but Big boobs is?
No MILF or Granny just mature?
Wives?
That's just a few that come to my particular taste/mind - but I'm sure you have a way to trawl through the frequently used Tags that don't have a category?
I see from the other boards that this is a frequently raised topic - and for those that 'care', you'd at least have more options for fine tuning where to place. For those that don't care and are abusing, then you should delete at leisure

It looks like I am going to have to define (in great detail) what each category stands for.

A random sampling of 500 galleries shows me that easily 10% of the galleries have the wrong categories chosen.

A small amount of that sampling suggest users are being cute / cheeky. They just want their galleries to be seen.

Another amount I would call 'iffy' at best. Some people ten to dump a bunch of different genres in one gallery. This is to be expected though. So the system will never be 100% correct.

A few annoyances that have to be cleared up eventually are:

Handjob category. This is not intended to have guys playing with themselves or jerking off. The definition (in the porn world) is someone else jerking or stroking 'someone else'.

Bukkake category. This is not intended to have one guy cumming on a face. The definition from Japan which is a cool story I guess, is that many men cumming on a face.

Big Cocks Porn. There are a lot of guys that wish they had one. Some guys like to mess around and show their 3 inch cock. Please stop that - thank you!

Down Blouse Porn. This should be obvious, but apparently it isn't. Women lifting up their tops to show their boobies is not down blouse. This category is probably the worst of the bunch. When I look at this category nothing makes sense. A camera shot of boobies "down" from the top showing titties or a nipple slip is really what belongs here.

Lesbian Porn. A common complaint. You can not have a guy in the picture. That would be a threesome if a guy showed up to the party. We are looking for 100% lesbian pictures only. The lesbians on the site will appreciate that - thanks.

So as you can see, there is a lot of work to do describing what categories are. I know there is an English barrier. Then I know that people simply don't care what categories they choose. Or they are just plain lazy.

I will follow up on this when I get a chance. Comments are welcomed. But please don't ask for any changes like adding new categories. That idea is on the back burner.

A little bit of info. If your gallery is flagged by a site moderator as Wrong Category, you can fix this on your own. But the problem is you will have to message me (not a message in the forum) from my profile page or send us an email to support@imagefap.com . Then after you have made the changes we will release the gallery back to public view.

If you make no changes, then we will delete the gallery after 7 days.

Under the actions column, click the 3rd icon on the gallery you want to modify - Genres. Make the changes. Set Genres at the bottom of the page.

After several years, using much the same few gallery categorisations, I have fallen foul of interpretation.
No request to amend though, simply . . . . zap!

The 'offered guidance' is more of a rant than a helpful explanation,
the latter being hard to come by when requested.


a case study ~

Nightdresses are within 'lingerie', where else?, the only category for which is 'panties'.

Nothing was really raunchy about any of the pix, so 'softcore' is has to be.

A lot of people have a fetish about lingerie, so that's a reasonable category, to me.
It works for many of my other galleries, the triple combination too.
One might disagree, so what would it be?
No obvious choice, so 'miscellaneous', or nothing at all?

Too few categories, so interpretations may often be in error.
Even if some play a game, most of us don't.


Life changes, develops; alterations and additions are required at times.

I keep getting galleries removed that I tag as "Pornstars" and are just galleries of pornstars nude. These aren't just random women, these are pornstars people know.
The reason each time is "wrong category".

Any ideas why these are being removed? The photos are not from sources on the forbidden sites list, that I can tell.
I'm not complaining, I'd just like to stop stepping on my own dick, so to speak.

I'm gona put this here as a general complaint... I'm getting really tired of seeing tranny/gay-male/penis-pics posted all over the fucking place. This is getting especially bad in the Teen & Amateur sections. I know that some dude could technically be a "teen" or an "amature"... but for fuck sake, post that shit in the Gay, Crossdressing, or CD/TV sections.
