Gifs not uploading, no idea why

Postby Darkwingfuck on Wed Apr 08, 2026 5:22 pm

So,im trying to upload a few gifs into my gallery, and it keeps saying "error please try again" then when I try again it says Image already in gallery. The gif/Image can be seen but never loads.

Yes its below 10mb

Cleared browser cache, no luck.

Anyone know what's going on?

Me too. Any kind of batch upload or gif fails. It’s been doing this for weeks.

I’m having the same problem. All I post are gifs so I’m kind of dead in the water here.

I was able to post gifs until a few days ago as well. There seems to be a system wide issue impacting all users. I hope their tech support team can get this resolved ASAP.

I've been having problems, too - but it's not all bad news :D

Just because you get an error message in the uploader, doesn't mean your image hasn't uploaded - error messages are sometimes... well... erroneous. Open the partly uploaded gallery in a new tab and have a look before you panic and refresh that tab any time you get an error - you may be pleasantly surprised!

Vary your file sizes. If you try to cram endless 9+Mb files into your gallery, one after the other, then that creates a kind of 'logjam' effect which is almost certain to produce error messages. Intersperse large files with a few smaller ones of (say) no more than 6-7Mb, especially in the first five uploads. This will start to build up an 'offset' in the uploads, which become staggered as a result, thus avoiding a logjam.

Hope that helps.
