Why is the display of text in the comments always so distorted?

Why is the display of text in the comments always so distorted?

Not only the comments. It's also profile texts, PM and even gallery titles if there are special characters included.

It seems to be a database problem and @longhairfish promised to let the IT guys have a look on it when the problem with the vanishing avatars has been fixed.

So be patient. The problem with the special characters exists since about 2021...

Yep I was going to say the same thing. It has something to do with special characters or characters typed on non-standard keyboard layouts or setups. I see it mostly in French and German based galleries.

Seems as if they are working on it.

I just posted a comment with an ü and it was working.
