Lots of Errors when Uploading

Last night and again this morning, I'm experiencing a ton errors when attempting to upload a new gallery. 25-30 images per 100 get errors while uploading. I get the generic "Error uploading, please try again" message for them. Nothing is wrong with the images and, if I try it again, a different 25-30 images will get the error. (Some of the ones that previously errored won't some, that uploaded successfully before will now error out.)

Using Windows and Firefox. Not doing anything differently than I did hundreds of times before.

Just following up with an update, I tried to upload a gallery for the first time since running into this issue initially and I'm still getting more failures than I used to. Out of 100 uploaded images, 84 succeeded and the rest are giving that generic "upload error" message. Of the 16 failures, about 8 of them were in the gallery after despite the error message. The rest are not in the gallery, yet when I went to try to add them after the initial upload, I get the "This Image Already Exists..." error message despite them not being there.

Just FYI for more info. I was hoping some of that other recent site maintenance would also help this issue but it doesn't look like it.
