Search has become useless

What has happened to IF's search tool? It used to be pretty good at returning what I asked for. Now, though, it's like it just doesn't listen.

For instance, I just did a search for "prom" (because I have some ideas for captions involving going to a prom.) Exactly two out of the first hundred hits had anything remotely to do with "prom." Twenty of the first hundred hits were from one user flooding the place with AI crap, none of it having anything to do with "prom." I also got dozens of hits featuring the words "promi" or "promis." But only two actual "prom" hits.

As an experiment, I jumped onto my tablet and used the mobile beta IF site, and got tons of actual "prom" hits, and none of the useless hits the desktop site gave me.
